:giggle:Well' date=' can't be bothered with your post then. Every sentence starts with I and how "I" is greater than "you".[/quote'] That is your perception. You mislabelled me, I defined my position. I didnt use the word greater/lesser, it is your connotation to it. You asked me what makes me an actual secular : well genius, its pretty well defined in my position: the state and its legal apparatus cannot be based on hypothetical moral axioms followed by a small subset of humanity as basis to its social conduct. The laws of the state are to be made by man, for man, to derive net gain for mankind and mankind's interests (this actually includes eco-responsibility too, since harming the ecosystem is ultimately, harming the interests of mankind on a long term basis). Therefore, 'hindu philosophy' or Christian or islam- has ZERO place in any legal or binding aspect of our social policies. This is the goal i stand for. Any law created would have its basis in what we determine as fundamental pre-existing rights of the individual & society, in conjunction to direct quantifiable gain or loss it represents to the individual and the society. Therefore, I have no time for what Mohammed said society should be, or Valmiki or any source that claims divine inspiration. I dont think you can get more secular than this, though I admit, I am in the cynical spectrum of secularists, not the hippie 'everyone live happily ever after Amar-Akbar-Antony style' spectrum. Doesnt make me any less secular, IMO. Note: that being said, while i do hold secular principles, i dont hold legalist principles stringently. As in, i do not think that the concern of the state overrides that of the individual by default and i do not prescribe to the notion of limitless power to the state being an actual benefit to the individual or the state.

are u blind?cant u read the 1st couple of lines ' date='i[b'] have already stated whats inclusive growth.. but still if you insist i`ll type about inclusive growth in gujarat..inclusive growth occurs when all sections of society contribute to the overall growth of the state be it rich, poor, hindu, muslim ,poverty is reduced, resources are equally distributed, growth of all sections of the society should be the prerogative .. check this article http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2013-01-08/news/36216469_1_economic-freedom-freedom-index-gujarat-tops-list here is the planning commission report http://post.jagran.com/planning-commission-finds-1371714247 the inclusive growth rate from this report is not upto the mark but its not that bad tbh,now the other bjp states have done good work in case inclusive growth that is why i wrote in that original post- ''modi/any other leader''..check carefully i wrote ''inclusive growth policies will be formed' i just gave a general public perception about modi in the suburbs, believe it or not he`s got many admirers ..he also has critics like u and many haters but the aam aadmi who goes to vote dont give a damn specifically on '' inclusive growth issue'',the voter just has an overall idea of all round growth/development under the leadership of a particular leader PS-dont project me as a modi bhakt, coz am not
You made a very general statement - I was asking for specifics. Let me remind you what you wrote.
most of the youth who support him particularly in suburbs give a damn about religion or hindutva' date='[b']they have hope that this country might benefit from his development model, gdp will improve, inclusive growth policies will be formed etc...thats the general perception his supporters get.. frankly i dont care if he`s the PM or not,i just want NDA/BJP to win the general elections be it sans modi or with him...people are fed up of this sh1t UPA govn, one of the worst witnessed
You implied that he will form inclusive growth policies. TFS the planning commission article which clearly states that his growth policies are not inclusive. You are inclusive or you are not. The onus lies on you now to enlighten us how can a CM who has full control over the state (and who hasn't implemented inclusive growth policies) will do so at the country level where it is much more difficult.

why cant he along with PMO form inclusive growth policies?particularly if that is in the mandate of BJP in the GE..ravi shankar prasad has already mentioned it...if sachin didnt score a ton on a flat track doesnt mean he wont score a ton on a greentop

Let us keep the analogies out of the window - they are not central to our argument. My points are two-fold : (1) Policies in Gujarat have not been "inclusive" (this is proved by the planning commission report itself) ; (2) In order to have a success at the centre - state performance does matter a lot. Therefore, I am skeptical about "inclusive growth" promised by the BJP or Modi at the centre as they have not done the same thing in their state despite assuming full control (something which will not be guaranteed at the centre). Now, they may very well go on to win the elections AND bring in inclusive growth despite evidence to the contrary. However, that does not imply that an informed individual can't have skepticism of Modi's future performance at the centre - particularly given his past history on the communal front. Do you think that this is a of reasonable line of thought?

very reasonable..even i am skeptical whether all the promises made in the mandate will be applied in form of policies especially "inclusive growth" which is a very important parameter but one has to take the risk and give a chance to the NDA govn to prove itself on the aforementioned points,as PK said-"ek baar chance deke to dekho".. now lets be honest the %age of people living under the poverty line is low or the % of people under PL is reducing compared to other states and inclusive growth is pretty decent in some NDA states like punjab,MP,bihar(now its not a part of NDA though),chattisgarh..so that gives us some hope, doesnt matter to me if modi`s the PM or not, what matters is a good ,acceptable mandate and if and when in power, abiding by it whoever be the face of the party

one good reason for rich getting richer and poor getting poorer is because of a non-existent tax collection system. the rich don't pay their fair share of the tax, and the poor pay no tax, India like most developing countries have a very very inefficient tax collection system making wealth distribution a fool's job. paying taxes should be a matter of pride, but can't blame the people when you see scoundrel politicians sending public money to Switzerland.

Modi talks of healing wounds in Kashmir
PATHANKOT: Virtually launching the party's campaign for 2014 elections, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Sunday talked about the need to "heal the wounds" of Kashmiris and connect its aspiring youths with the national mainstream for the development of the state. Often described by critics as a divisive figure, Modi sought to portray himself as a leader who unifies, saying he would work for bringing parties and hearts together. Addressing a rally here, Modi invoked former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said the task he left incomplete would be pursued by BJP if voted to power. He attacked the UPA government over its Kashmir policy, economy and national security, saying it has failed on all fronts. "Vajpayee had sought to win over the heart of Kashmir with compassion, love and dialogue...Had he been elected to power in 2004, he would have succeeded in his Kashmir policy," he said.
Good start for election campaingn, need careful planning and execution... http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Modi-talks-of-healing-wounds-in-Kashmir/articleshow/20727866.cms

but you are a useless poster your opinion doesnt count and you are ofcourse not secular ... ditto with seedhi and sree. This is how cronyism works. Create a group of like minded people with common agenda ' date=' grab power and then do whatever you feel like. This is how political parties in India operate and this is how ICF operates ... absolutely no difference. People who think education is the reason why India is the way it is should have a look at how ICF is run by people with mote-mote degrees.[/quote'] Its fine I guess, we express our opinions whatever secularists say or not, Its up to them to decide how much clean a thread they want to maintain. As for us is considered we are not holding back in expressing what we feel is right.
