to all the indian fans who thinks u used to own us here is a stats from cricinfo .if u can understand english i request u to read this stat first and then comment Our first comment of a day is a statsy one' date=' it comes from Sundeep: "Since aug 2008, india have played 5 ODI series/tournaments in SL... India played 22 matches, won 14, lost 8... importantly, won 4 of the 5 series. In 13 other series between 1985 and 2006, india won only 2 series, 2 were drawn, 1 shared and remaining 8 won by SL." Thanks.now count who has won how many series guys if u know a little bit of maths.:finger::finger::finger:[/quote'] As far as I remember, most of the series were gathered in the late 90's in SC/sharjah. Your team has always been piss poor outside the SC, and around the 96 WC, you really used to beat us in SC. But, since the fall of the century, SL has really been beaten fair and square by India in almost all conditions.

Tony likes his Brown people to be humble and smiling and treating him like a Gora Saheb. How dare they get rich and be arrogant and dictate terms!!!

Spot on! That's why India suddenly got so much flak once Ganguly became the captain coz he wouldn't bend over in front of others and the non-SC teams couldn't take it. Still remember how Aussies & Waugh in particular were so miffed at Ganguly for keeping Waugh waiting for the toss :hysterical:

Chandimal is long-term No. 4 - Jayawardene & compare it to our senior most player What a great gesture from the captain and senior most player.Thinking of country's long term future. Jayawardene said he had thought of coming in at No. 4, instead of Chandimal, in the first ODI against India, but did not do so keeping in mind the "bigger picture." He said moving up and down the order was not ideal for either him or Tharanga, but Sri Lanka would try to be flexible. "I was tempted. But at the same time you need to look at the bigger picture as well," Jayawardene said. "The whole structure going forward for the next World Cup is to make sure that guys like Angelo [Mathews] and Chandimal bat in certain positions http://www.espncricinfo.com/sri-lanka-v-india-2012/content/current/story/573657.html We have one senior player who takes vacation when he pleases and then walks right into playing eleven disturbing the chemistry and displacing a young player who should be using these matches to build his confidence. We have another senior player like Laxman who simply cannot run nor field anywhere except slips hanging on to their places well past their prime and selectors simply not thinking the big picture in spite of being drubbed by 0-8. This plan from Srilanka might work or might not at least they are planning for future. It is insanity from selectors not to have given timeline for all the seniors to make their exit plans or get ousted. The same thing happened with kapil dev who was hanging on by thread to get that stupid record way past his prime denying Srinath his rightful place in the team. Bedi and Venkat hung on too late denying guys like Dilip Doshi.

to be fair even we have been quite good in grooming kohli. From quite early in his career dhoni has been sending him at no.3. Similar was tried with rohit but it is his fault for not performing. We can do better in tests though

why just because I want Indian cricket to do well and I have been fan of Indian team all my life. I want youngsters to get their chances because neither sachin nor laxman are the future of Indian cricket, we will be defending world champions in 2015 and we still are intent on status quo attitude.

You are preaching to the choir. I get it and am with regarding the argument. I don't see why a player who is too long in the tooth to make it to the WC (or make it to the team when he clearly isn't good enough) should be persisted with, especially when we have replacements. But that's just me and I wouldn't want a guy to walk straight into the team once his kids' school vacation is over :dontknow:

Right! Not long before phainty number 2 for Lankans begins. I have feeling Raina gonna get a 100 in this one, he looked really good last game. Also tired of seeing Virat butt raping the Lankans.
