He then tripped, fell flat on his face and couldn't ton up at Lord's for the only time in his career he got a useful start. One of the numerous instances he made a fool of himself. Flintoff was a bits and pieces cricketer - could bat a bit, could bowl a bit, and was terrible in the field. Like Ravi Bopara. Like Samit Patel. Like Michael Yardy. Like Luke Wright. Like . Difference was, he performed in a couple of games against Australia when they were having a breather from the mauling they were administrating to England on a regular basis. Which is why he became a legend through rosy success starved Pommie glasses. In short: Why do we care? :finger: Saar, please don't bring in that Australian bowler when you want to praise Flintoff. Flintoff performed in a couple of games with the bat in the 2005 series and they were not coincidentally the two games that McGrath missed. In that series, when McGrath was not around, the hero scored 68, 73, 102 and 26. In the other three - 0, 3, 46, 4, 72 & 8. Flintoff won a total of zero Ashes Tests when McGrath was in the team (Atherton won four). Then of course there are those captaincy heroics against a full strength Aussie side in the 2006/7 Ashes.

You yourself posted videos of him getting humiliated by Mcgrath,Walsh, Ambrose and even Warne. I've seen a lot of him, though a gritty fellow but a pussy batsman when it comes to playing shots. He's too scared of hitting even a half volley for four. Players like him make cricket look boring and as a sport a joke for Europeans and Americans.Fact.

The lower half of our line-up we carried into the world cup, barring Zak, was rubbish. And of course, how can you leave out Mr. Nehra?

Nehra and Munna bowled well against pak. Even bhajji took out Umar akmal when he was getting dangerous.

Let's sit back on the couch and enjoy the fun. :eating: Maybe ten years down the line, we'll see another bunch go at each other - looking forward to the Bopara vs Strauss thing. Or the official release of Swann vs KP, the trailer of which we saw when we smacked them 5-0 last year. These guys are good fun.
