Desibaba was our go-to website back in the TCS Andheri SEEPZ days. Back then our haraami group contained a couple of 'kars, a Mohanty, couple Biharis, a lafandar Bong and the token tharki Desai. Between us we had Windows Admins, UNIX Admin, Database and application guy. We would backdoor, download the pics into an unnamed account, then move it to Unix and finally ftp it over lol. Then a master print was made and Xeroxed later on. Those days I used to be a pretty dhakkad UNIX guy :winky: It is freaking funny to see all that change into a button push on your Android lekin the stories are remotely as fascinating. Not sure how we never got caught though. More so since all thse happened on remote off-shore servers of American clients :hysterical: Come to think of it, I miss those chaps..dont miss the vi editor though

We had to take print outs of programs and saala sab log thodi program likhega. So, there was a Printer Man and an Enter Man. Enter Man used to wink to Printer Man (operating a dot matrix printer) indicating if it was ready. Printer Man processes the signal and puts in the paper and collects the print out (about 30 copies). On a dot matrix printer, the typical kee keee keee kee noise which it used to make was damn irritating but for the next 45 minutes we had to bear with it.

CG Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Try Google Chrome for browsing. I tried firefox,waterfox,chrome but opera seems more stable ,chrome adblock is not as good as opera .it has been months since i had a crah on opera while firefox could crash regularly.
bajrang Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 everything- for desktop search flux- for monitor's auto color management, less eye strain liveCricket- for desktop score alert saezural- for twitter tixati- for torrents similerImages- for duplicate image removel extractNow- for opening many zip files at once belvedere- for total auto file management, deleting, copying moving files set with rules. on top replica - for having a part of of window on top, like while watching live stream you can have the just the video part above everything else. for my music i use foobar, but it takes time to set it up and for those not willing to do that i would recommend MusicBee. for browsing i use Aurora (firefox beta) has 20-30 tabs open at one given time so cant stand the cramped tab bar in chrome, opera doesnt do what i can make firefox do. for video potPlayer, that korean guy certainly know how to code video player.

Chrome - it took time to get out of Firefox, but now not looking back anymore. Picasa - I use only for viewing photos Irfanview - viewing ( before Picasa), and now basic editing. Gimp - free alternative to Photoshop FoxitReader - best alternative to AdobeReader TextPad - One of the best text editor, free version is fully featured - just keeps showing dialogbox. VirtualBox - best alternative to VMware. VLC & WinAmp - how come no one mentioned these! putty - must have for any developer/admin working between windows/linux One of the following is must have for those who do not have access to printer, and need to print pages/tickets every now and then. PDFill - print docs/webpages, split/merge/convert pdfs. pdfcreator - pdf printer driver only. Bullzip pdf printer. Openoffice - if you do not want to purchase any word/excel type of proprietary software. MagicIso,MagicDisc / PowerDisc - for mounting iso files on windows. burn4free/burnatonce - lightweight disc burning s/w...yes we still need to write CD/DVDs sometimes. 7zip/winrar - must have on windows. WordWeb - decent lightweight desktop dictionary. Apart from these, lots of stuff on Linux, and some development tools on windows.
