Pietersen reveals possible England U turn

Would the BCCI allow their stars to miss test matches in order to play English t20? Its more a player power thing rather than a hate of india etc It wouldnt matter whether it was ipl or big bash or whatever, England wont allow there players to pick and chose which game they play and which they dont. From a personal view point im a bit pissed of at KP because in ODI cricket he was been rubbish for 2 years and the team has stuck by him, now as soon as he came back into form he starts making silly demands.
Sachin is allowed to pick and choose

Forget missing a test, BCCI doesn't allow it's players to play in other T20 leagues. So it is certainly stupid to expect that ECB should let him go.

His original (and maybe only) demand was fair. Flower and Hugh Morris appear to be getting back at KP. KP wanted Flower sacked along with Peter Moores. Same chaps have no problem having a backroom deal with Strauss. Geoff Miller has no problem having him back but Andy Flower controls English cricket.

ya let him play t20 and retire form odis it was reasonable ..pick on merit if he deserves place in that format then cool but now kp is losing it

Theres no way sachin would be allowed to play in an English Premier League while india played test matches.
Moot point. 1. An English Premier League will never have the ability to pay salaries comparable to IPL. 2. England can't produce a player as great as Sachin. Heck, I can't even remember the last ATG England produced. Must have been in 50s/60s.

i don't think its fair.. he is not the only player who needs rest , every one will ask if u give him..he also not played too many matches [remember Anderson and Broad miffed because they are not allowed to play in last test against WI] you never bend to one player...you can take some loses and move on but team atmosphere also matters little bit

Pietersen outcry no false alarm 146189.2.jpghttp://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/current/story/572662.html

One element of England's unspoken policy is to simultaneously reward and make demands of its players to such an extent that their involvement in IPL is discouraged. Pietersen's alarm call this year could be sounded by Stuart Broad or Eoin Morgan next, especially as all the signs are that a high-profile T20 tournament in England is not about to happen. It is natural to to want to experience the best. The amount of cricket played by England to protect its corner is simply unsustainable. The English counties are under severe financial strain and the only answer the ECB has come up with is to ask the same 15 players or so to play international cricket until they drop. It is a good bet that Flower himself will soon be given a tour off. He will not demand it, or threaten to quit like Pietersen, but he will get it all the same and it would be naive to imagine that negotiations, albeit more gentlemanly, will not take place.

ECB doesn't want to have BCCI call the shots, so they have created a "window" for their T20 league.

thank you for ur comment and when are u planning to tell us the reasons ?
It doesnt really deserve more than that, England have produced great players in the past, theres bo reason why England cant do it again. We have no greats as the moment but Cook for example will probably be one of the best openers England have ever had, Strauss will probably be Englands most sucessfull captain.
