siddhu Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Last time Australia complained about a lot of heat and poyz made fun of them... this happened. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64002.html :--D:--D:--D:--D
Clarke Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Its a valid concern. What's the remaining alternative(s), Malaysia ?
Needforspeed Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 The heat in Dubai in Summer (Peak July-September) is unbearable. It doesnt matter even if it is full night game. Its worse than the April May heat in North India.Maybe OK for T20 but definitely not for 50 overs. And during the day (upto 6.00 Pm) forget about playing..You will get a stroke from just standing around.
Desi Cartman Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 ^ yeah true' date=' even aus cities get hot as sh1t in january, melbourne goes to 40+ degree celcius,[/quote'] There is usually a cold breeze and the weather does stay hot + humid for days on. It usually rains and cools down after a day or 2 of extreme heat ( extreme is 35+). I dont remember 40+ in Melbourne
Precambrian Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Same logic we shud protest agnst being made to play in xtrmly cold n rainy weather that too imm after an ipl summer

I dont remember 40+ in Melbourne in aus open for past 4-5 years, temp have gone 40+ at around 12 pm particularly in the last week of january, many players complained about it too, but just played it out
IKnowU Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 in aus open for past 4-5 years' date=' temp have gone 40+ at around 12 pm particularly in the last week of january, many players complained about it too, but just played it out[/quote'] Those tennis players are soft as you can get......they will complain about anything. Yet they get a break after every game/set plus towel every 5 secs. How do they think whole of Australia gets by during those months? Its peak time for all sorts of sports from cricket, tennis, soccer, afl etc.
Indian Pride Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Is that the only thing they are worried about playing Pakistan?

Its peak time for all sorts of sports from cricket, tennis, soccer, afl etc. I'm guessing its harder with certain sports like tennis. For one, its and individual/two player team sport so ur active almost every second. Then there's the synthetic court which is going to get hotter than a grass outfield like cricket.
someone Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 And Fifa made Qator the host of the world cup 2022. Cannot imagine how bad it would be at that time.
Precambrian Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 And Fifa made Qator the host of the world cup 2022. Cannot imagine how bad it would be at that time. all WC matches will be held in indoor air conditioned stadiums.
someone Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 all WC matches will be held in indoor air conditioned stadiums. Nope. It was said but that is not practical and once again due to safety reasons primarily.
Precambrian Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Nope. It was said but that is not practical and once again due to safety reasons primarily. Oh then its pretty much impossible. But am damn sure they'd spend through their noses to set up stuff like that.
Sean Bradley Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Aussies have a point, the heat at times in unbareable in dubai, NZ winters are not worse than the ones we have in northern India...Practically, we can tolerate winters, protect ourselves by jumpers and winter clothing, but no one can fight Mr. Center of the Universe!
Crookbond Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 ^ It depends from where you are. The southern part of India tremble in the the Northern winters.
Needforspeed Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 The issue is resolved now. They need to play only T20 Pakistan-Australia six-match T20 series approved http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/content/current/story/569940.html
Cricket_Guru Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Pakistan-Australia six-match T20 series approved ICC listens to cry of pcb and CA....:two_thumbs_up: but 6, 6t20s......thats mad. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/content/current/story/569940.html
Sachinism Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Good to see ICC aren't worried about Test cricket dying. Maybe it isn't and this is ICC's way of showing it :dontknow:
someone Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 ^^^^ So for you if 7 match ODI or even 5 match tests, it is cricketing reasons. But if there are 6t20s , suddenly it is non-cricketing reasons. There are enough reasons and really no one needs to prove anybody anything on t20s.
