Number
I would much rather have Yuvi bowl than useless Jadeja. Yes, players on bench look good but Jadeja ? seriously ? People have gone nuts. Link to comment

Cevno
didnt work in first T20 when pitch was not slow or turning. You have to look at it on the whole. It's not like whichever bowler will come into the team will bowl well every game. By that logic you could say on a wicket which is very flat Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be even more costlier than Dinda. And Yuvraj has previously done well on flat wickets too and today wasn't flat either. Link to comment
JourneyMan
Agreed that Rahane should have been in the team, but the fundamental problem lies in the bowling. You can't go in with 4 bowlers, especially not when 3 of the 4 are either inexperienced or just coming back from injury. The problem goes beyond XI selection on the matchday, because the 15-man squad itself cannot fulfill basic requirements. Link to comment

Cevno
Batting lost the game today, not the bowling. Not many games are won from 29/5. You could say the toss played a part and the conditions. Link to comment
JourneyMan
At this point I think Sehwag and Gambhir both need to sit it out, and make way for Rahane and a bowler. Rahane and Rohit can open the innings. You can't send an opener at number 7, it makes no sense. Link to comment
NareshK
We absolutely need a 5th bowling option because Ashwin is a decent batsman and B Kumar looks decent with the bat. Someone like Irfan Pathan should be in the team. As he is injured, Mishra or another specialist seamer should be tried. I have seen enough of Rohit Sharma in ODIs. He has been the biggest fail I have seen other than Umar Akmal. He is getting too much credit for his fluke knocks in IPL and FC on patta wickets. Link to comment

JourneyMan
I'd rather replace Gambhir/Sehwag than Rohit. Rohit Sharma can still come good, Gambhir and Sehwag are at the end of their careers. In the long run, it makes more sense sticking with young talent than over-the-hill legends. Link to comment

And that too more than Rohit ? :giggle: Rohit is averaging freaking 13 this year. Link to comment

But there is no freaking way you can say that the Toss didn't play a part. Or the 2 bad decisions. Link to comment

SC teams pick him quite easily and he will be easy to hit because he bowls at least one or two long hops an over. Same with Jadeja. Against SC teams, there should always be an extra seamer than a spinner. Better if he can also bat a bit like Irfan. Link to comment
