His time is up[/quote'] I agree with that, but given a choice between him n Rohit,I'd still pick Sehwag.today was seaming track.on flat hes a beast against Pakis

zen Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Ind needs to play proper bowlers (including all-rounders). When Ind makes a big total, there are question marks on their ability to defend. When Ind does not get a big total, it is often out of the game. If it posts a competitive total, the so-called probable close games are likely to go opposition's way unless the conditions are helpful to the bowlers .... If the opposition is batting first, the threat of it batting Ind out of the game is high Playing proper bowlers could have been encouraged a lot earlier (when we in fact had a superb batting line up) unless one or two of the 7 selected batsmen are bowling really well I like teams that can be dangerous with both the bat and the ball. Ind, traditionally, has been able to dominate in one category. Sadly, no one has made an effort to make that change or set a direction Even on the forum, I see so many playing 11s with 7 or even 8 batsmen, arguing that the 4th and 5th bowler are no better than part-timers. Great short term plan, but the problem is that no one thinks about its long term impact including bowlers being sidelined (like it is now) or even bowlers starting to think that this is a batsmen's game .... when you want to effect a culture change, you have to change the behavior through changing values, where we put it amongst ourselves to be double dangerous, i.e. with both the bat and the ball
Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Declare Kohli unfit and play Rohit at 3. Drop Sehwag, play Rahane. Drop Gambhir, play Chand. Play Shammi Ahmed also.
King Tendulkar Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Declare Kohli unfit and play Rohit at 3. Drop Sehwag, play Rahane. Drop Gambhir, play Chand. Play Shammi Ahmed also. Chand is no way ready But agree. Both oprners need to go
namasteji1 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Kohli cleared of serious injury after nasty fall There was some good news for India on an otherwise forgettable day when Virat Kohli was cleared of any serious injury to his right knee after falling awkwardly while bowling and limping off the park during the first One-Day International against Pakistan in Chennai on Sunday (December 30). Kohli was sending down his part-time medium-pacers in the 41st over of the Pakistani chase when his legs went under him as he landed in his delivery stride. The right knee bore the brunt of the impact and he lay writhing in pain for a long time as the physiotherapist attended to him. IndiaÃÔ reserves then raced to the ground with a stretcher but Kohli managed to get back on his feet and hobbled off the ground for further medical attention. Kohli is still not a shoo-in for the second ODI in Kolkata on January 3, 2013, but his injury isnÃÕ severe, a press release from the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed. Å·irat Kohli underwent an MRI scan after the game, said Sanjay Jagdale, the BCCI secretary, in the release. Å¢ll his major ligaments are fine. There is minimal injury fluid in his knee, added the release. Å©e will recover after treatment. His condition will be monitored, and a decision on whether he will play the second ODI will be taken over the next couple of days. Kohli has been IndiaÃÔ best batsman across all formats this calendar year, making 689 runs in nine Tests at 49.21 including three centuries and three fifties, amassing 1026 runs in 17 ODIs at 68.40 with five hundreds and three half-centuries and piling up 471 runs from 14 Twenty20 Internationals, inclusive of four fifties. Kohli made more international hundreds in the world in 2012 eight than any other player and is a crucial cog in the Indian wheel batting at No. 3. http://www.wisdenindia.com/cricket-news/kohli-cleared-serious-injury-after-nasty/42710
ganeshran Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 A loss is a loss, yeh haar kar bhi jeet gaye mentality is best left to Pak fans
vijay50 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 When are we going to drop the free loader and useless fellow, ROHIT SHARMA the tailunt.
CG Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Kya din agaye world champion team ke ,Mental victories celebrate ho rahe he.
Lord Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Its my team. I am the selctor' date=' so am drafting him in:--D[/quote'] then bring in Rayudu,Mandeep, and even Sir Aggy in plce of Dinda:haha:
saneindian Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Gambhir out, Rahane in Rohit out, Shami Ahmed in If Kohli is injured, then retain Sehwag and play Gauti at 3, let Rahane and Viru open
Rohit S. Ambani Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 We mentally disintegrated them brah!
saneindian Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 They said similar things about Umesh Yadav's injuries that it was minor and he will recover soon.. The real extent of the injury would be known only tomorrow morning. I have a feeling he has done some damage to his knees and will have to rest for a few weeks. Hope nothing serious though.
dragonfly Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 No loss. He has been doing squat nothing lately and just resting on some previous laurels.
R.D forever Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 No use in changing the batting line up without changing the shyte bowlers we have. Ishant and dinda are pathetic . They are hit-the-deck bowlers who ll be useless in India. Kumar is superb and ashwin bowled very well today. Drop Ishant and Dinda get Mishra and shami.
R.D forever Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 To be honest ,it would have been good if he was out for 3-4 months and back for Aus tests
