Sarkar Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Are you on drugs? You seriously think it's alright for political parties ton take law into their own hands? :omg: So you think they started this protest without any reason .
Crookbond Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 They are trying to protest and stop the event its not as if they came with ak 47 and shot everybody there communal divison where was the communal peace when few terrorists attacked innocent indians mercilessly. Exactly. What constitutional power does the Bajrang Dal have to STOP the event?
asterix Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Did the protesting BJP/Bajrang Dal took law in their own hands? I thought they propested peacefully. They've a right to protest...
Crookbond Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Did the protesting BJP/Bajrang Dal took law in their own hands? I thought they propested peacefully. They've a right to protest... Fair enough - they have a right to protest peacefully. Do you think they were coming to peacefully protest though? Check out the video and judge for yourself.
asterix Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Fair enough - they have a right to protest peacefully. Do you think they were coming to peacefully protest though? Check out the video and judge for yourself. Yeah, I checked the video.. You think they damaged any property or hurt any people? What do you think? :giggle:
Crookbond Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Yeah, I checked the video.. You think they damaged any property or hurt any people? What do you think? :giggle: So, here's how it works eh? [1] A mob tries to push through the gates of a certain area despite the police holding them off [2] The police do a fantastic job to prevent a brawl Now, since the brawl is prevented the mob is non-violent :giggle:

Then they sat outside and protested.. They didn't went on rampage and damaged anything.. BTW, in which World are you living? You think if they wanted to go in and start a brawl, Police would've been able to prevent them? Arent you trying very hard to see something which is very common in India.. Politicians 'brawl' in Parliament and Vidhan Sabhas and damage property in Parliament/Vidhan Sabha.. These are small time partyworkers tried to protest. If they'd planned anything they could've done more damage..:giggle:
Prakat Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 If he is Indian then he should be happy to stop from holding a event from a nation which sponsors terrorism against India. Here's my personal view of the matter. I'm happy with the partition. I think our national character would be a lot more fecked up and regressive if we were undivided India post-independence. In fact, I'm actually sad they didn't mop up a lot more scum from the country. Now, the partition itself is a modern phenomena and the Idea of India of old extends all the way to the afghan border. And the partition was traumatic for a lot of people. So the romantic notion of an undivided India lingers on, I've seen non-Muslims getting nostalgic at the idea too. I see the charm notionally but don't think it will be worth the trouble. I feel those regions will only pull us back. Now combine that with an ordinary desire to have peaceful relations with Pakistan (and stopping this terrorism from Pakistan is part of the dream) and these gestures start making sense. Now these particular gentlemen, I don't know about. Are they anti-India asswipes? It doesn't look like or why would they celebrate with the Indian flag? Why would they make a gesture of oneness if they were filled with hate for India? This event runs counter to our present state of affairs with Pakistan, after mumbai bombings and the parliament attack from recent memory. We are positioned in an antagonistic stance against Pakistan. Which is why it is important to remember that this is a gesture toward the country and not toward the political state of Pakistan.

All I'm trying to say is very simple - nothing justifies these acts of violence from any community - Hindu, Muslim, Sikhs, Christians ... anyone! If anyone does it, should be bought to task. I don't know how difficult is it to understand this. Yes, ground situations may be different - the mob may be more powerful etc. but that doesn't mean we encourage violence. At some level, this is politics too which you are condemning on the first place.
Crookbond Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 ^ It was a general comment mate! I said we should not encourage violence in any form. Now, if I start getting into specifics it will turn into a Religion1 versus Religion2 thread which I want to avoid. Please read the thread to understand why comments are being made.

The you are stating general things (which I've no issues with). But since you went specific to a somebody's post, it's difficult to judge if you are dealing in specifics or in general.. No need to show  to general comments of a poster who's been in this forum for long to know what he's writing. He just made a general comment about politicians.. As I said, you are onto some thing and trying very hard.. Hope you achieve what you are trying to do .. :two_thumbs_up:

Sarkar Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Exactly. What constitutional power does the Bajrang Dal have to STOP the event? What constitutional power do you have to stop the protest its not as if they blew those people with bombs they are trying to make their point. No one got harmed but as usual you are blowing out of proportion.

Of course there are some maharathis in India places like hyderabad j&k who have special love towards pakistan india has been singing the same peace song from many years what did it achieve ? nothing despite having so many attacks we havent learnt the lesson from our neighbour.India shud say we havent got anything to do with pakistan and ignore them.

Tiger80 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Exactly. What constitutional power does the Bajrang Dal have to STOP the event? Do you think people anywhere in world care about their constitution when someone is celebrating enemy nation's independence day.In many countries those people could had been shot in others there could had been major riot. You should be praising those people that no unfortunate incident happened.
