I got my 7 and 5 year olds to finish their weekly playroom clean up and gave them 50 cents each for their labor. My 9 yo niece who is visiting from abroad was watching them, but did nothing to help. Which is OK, but I I did not want to hurt her feelings and gave her 50 cents, too. What a sucker!!

Why are you doling out money to them like the Govt' date=' instead give them tax cuts to create more playroom jobs.[/quote'] Did you miss the point that I am making them work for it :-)? Technically, that's not a dole.

I won't accept you as a bleeding heart liberal CA, unless you steadfastly refuse to show their birth certificates. :beee:

Wouldn't it be great to have a government that gave out cheques every time we vacuumed our house, washed our car and greased our two-man deep-sea diving bell.

Watch out CA, very soon your kids, nieces and nephews may form unions and start demanding 40 HR play weeks, health insurance coverage for minor playoom accidents like minor bumps, scratches etc. To counter that, you could do what Ohio's secretary of state's equivalent of limiting early voting hours - you could limit playroom access hours. :)

As a true right winger' date=' you paid them below minimum wage. :giggle:[/quote'] If I had to pay them more, I couldn't afford them, and they'd be unemployed ... won't even get the 50 cents they now get :-).

Are they able to pay you back for food, shelter, healthcare and other requirements ? Will you throw them out of the house if they can't, i mean how far can u afford to be under their crushing debt while they live off your hard work and ingenuity :((
