no tests.. only ODI's & T20's

since when has that mattered for the BCCI. All he needs is the team to win in these ODIs/T20s and his job will most probably be safe. Example is Dhoni - he has failed with the bat, as a keeper and as a Captain in the last few months and has led India to its worse permanence in Tests in many decades but he played a good innings here so I expect everything else to be forgotten and he will not be sacked - same can happen with Fletcher if India does well in ODI's/T20s in the next 2 months.

I think sometime,we tend to take the adage'good players dont necessarily make good coaches' a bit too seriously.Duncan Fletcher hasnt played Test cricket at all,let alone play in India,how is he expected to understand Indian culture n makes Test strategies according to team India strngths. I think both the coach n bowling should be ones who hv played Test cricket n played in Indian conditions.not necessarily great cricketers,but those who hv experience in these conditions

That too the ODI's & T20's are against Pak... People want you to win that irrespective of any other results :--D
