Justified the faith Indian fans had in Pujara :smiley: Wish Rahane had been played as well. Now the future of Indian batting with the likes of Pujara, Rahane, Kohli and maybe Rohit isn't looking that bad, is it.

let him develop this season he has started well but he has lot more tough tests ahead , good thing is he looks like he has mature head on his shoulders and is modest.

Let' just say I have more faith in Rohit's tailunt to succeed in Tests :D
he is too tailunted for lowly tests man.. ipl is good challenge for him .. he should stick with it :two_thumbs_up:

He has ton of first class experience, so he was always ready for big stage...But first season is easy...when opponents start to find you weaknesses, things get tougher..

I am with Ian Chappell regarding Rohit. Chappell said on our tour to Aus that if we don't play Rohit in Tests we risk losing him as he will get bored and get into bad habits if he continues to be played at FC level when he's ready for Tests. You can't take the likes of Rohit and Rahane and play them in odis and if they fail in that format then kick them out. These guys are more suited to Tests based on their track records - Rohit averages 60 in FC & 35 in List A while Rahane averages 65 in FC & 37 in List A. It's clear based on eerily similar stats that the format best suited to them is the longer format (Tests) but somehow selectors are hell bent on getting them into odis :facepalm:

Ha. That boy Pujara. I have been batting to groom him for replacing Dravid for 4 years now, since he hit 3 triples in a domestic tourney. I wanted him to be tried in Ganguly's place against England in tests even then. Seeing him bat last few years, he has it all - hunger and patience and doesn't throw it away after getting a ton or two. He has focus to convert it into big enough. Only thing that can go wrong for him is if he is pitchforked in a lot of the one day-T20 crap and then IPL if he does well this season. Now why is Raina even near a test team? Seeing his failures in SA, Aus and Eng over the years, it was a foregone conclusion that like Yuvraj, he is a talent shorter format bully. Dhoni plays too much favorites with a few who don't deserve it. Why was Badri even chosen to start with if Dhoni had Raina in mind all along? That guy is not even in Ganguly league. What can one say about Raina? Greg Chappell thought he was the greatest star we found when he was a coach. Shucks, that really says it all perhaps. That senile Chappell would have backed him.

Rohit went missing in West Indies after the first test in the A series. Heck even Saha scored more than him. He played one good innings and thought that was it, I have done enough. The guy needs a shrink

Rohit is allround most talented player in india,those who play cricket should now how much time he has playing fast bowling and he has no pre meditated foot movements.It is sad he has not got to play tests against sa at nagpur and got injured.
