:hatsoff: What an innings! Good to see he was given the opportunity by the captain to bat at no.3 and he grabbed that opportunity with both hands! Lets hope we have found our future no.3. :hatsoff:

We don't have many to bat at that position. Dhoni made an obvious move, don't made it look like a good one. Anyway, great to see Pujara doing well.

Let us avoid this pre mature ejaculation
I have seen enough of him before commenting this...its my view...maybe you will be happy with raina's n sharma's....but this blog should hav been in team long time back...i know he was injured...but should have made his debut long time back...

Very well done. Not the toughest attack by any means but has anchored the innings well with the big names flopping yet again. Most important thing for him is to remain fit.

I thought they got him in at the right time. The injury he sustained was a serious one and kept him out for a long time. Its a shame as he would have had a tour of England and Australia under his belt by now.

His debut was a bit delayed because the team management was keen to get Raina into the Test XI. Raina was selected ahead of him for the squad to SL in 2010. Then, when Pujara made his debut against Australia (VVS injury) and smashed 72 to win the game, he was again dropped to keep Raina in the team. After Raina failed in four consecutive Tests against NZ and SA, they had no choice but to drop Raina and give Pujara a chance. Something similar is happening to Rahane - he would have likely made his debut today but again, the team management seems insistent on getting Raina into the Test XI even though Raina has done little to boost his Test credentials since that embarrassing tour of England, where he averaged 13 and made a pair in the final Test.
