I remember one article in which prabhakar was blasting delhi players like chand coz of their careless shot selection...IN list A matches may be he is good for tests...but in odi his strike rate is around 70 which is less...also in t20 he is having strike rate of 76..
He was only 18 then. Young batsmen like him can get carried away and start playing too many shots. He played a bit differently in second season than first when he was more sedate, but I am sure he has learnt from his mistakes and 5, 100s, at U19 level are a testament to that.

Murali vijay can be ideal opener for tests....but srikkanth and company spoiled careers of murali vijay and rohit sharma by picking them for wrong format..
 In this case, it was the IPL not Cheeka pranaam.

yes....IPL spoiled vijay's technique..same happened with pandey....both performing in domestics but not in IPL...
hes been given a fair shot in tests.hasnt done well

one more example is robin uthappa....he always performs in challenger trophy so he is ideal player for odi but selector consider him as t20 player..IPL ruined many cricketers..

1 season wonder I guess' date='will be tested in the KIWI conditions.[/quote'] Anustup Majumdar has shown great temperament last year. Not only he, everyone else will get tested in NZ. But also keep in mind that Rahane and Mukund were big :fail:s in WI.

Uthappa got a 2nd wind in his career only because of IPL.

2nd wind??? he was injured in 2010 so he couldn't get chance based on IPL performance..selectors have different criteria for different players....out of form rohit sharma's past t20 record is noted but here they ignored previous performance of robin...they forgot who won them first t20 world cup...:winky:

:hysterical: They did notice his average of 18 in T20Is and didn't pay much attention to him. I said he got a 2nd wind because of IPL because he did well in the first and third IPL and was again getting noticed. His FC and List A averages have been crap anyway.

average around 35 is good for odi ...and his average is 48 at no 6 in international matches....IN t20 he tries too many shots thats why he is failure in t20 but if u look at IPL 2012 he was playing this IPL like odi matches:winky:

He averages 27 in ODIs, not 35. 35 is his List-A average, which is an average List-A average in India. He did have a good List-A season last year, but he needs to do something special to break through. Still seems to be a better T20 player to me than an ODI player.

Players to watch for in the short term future are Rahane - For both ODI and Test Rohit - He needs to be tried out in Test PLEASE Manoj - Has taken his chance in ODI will he get a chance in Test. Hopefully he will go on and cement his place in ODI now Mandeep - In India A if he does well there will get a chance in ODI Unmukt - In India A if he does well there will get a chance in ODI

I am quite bullish on Ishank Jaggi. He has to be there on the list as well, and would remove Mukund from the list. From what I've seen of him Shikhar Dhawan has a better chance of succeeding than Mukund.

7)Abhinab Mukund(opener)(in the India-A team) 8)Robin Bist(dropped from the the India-A team)
This such joke. Mukund had an absolute miserable tour for India A in West Indies, and he gets promoted to Captain. Bist didn't play a single game for India A in West Indies, and he gets dropped. BCCI at its best here..
