Strauss could quit captaincy - reports

Andrew Strauss could be set to resign as England's Test captain on Wednesday, according to reports in the English media. Late on Tuesday night, the ECB announced that Hugh Morris, the managing director of the England team, would hold a press conference at Lord's at noon on Wednesday. The subject of the media conference was not confirmed by the ECB, but several English newspapers reported Strauss was likely to step down. Strauss took a break following the Test series against South Africa and was expected to return for Middlesex this week for their Championship match against Worcestershire. He, however, withdrew from the side to extend his family holiday.
