Here's a fantastic view point in mid - day on the issue in the OP and another incident where a woman was not allowed to enter Bombay HC because she was wearing a sleeveless top  [2]. Priya-Pathiyan.jpg
With those flabby arms reminiscent of 55 year old biker, I would ban her too. :beee:

Come on CA' date=' that must have been just a poster, or two, but people on this board? I find that hard to beleive [/quote'] Here's the thing. When something extremely outrageous like "female feticide is OK as long as it is the mother's choice" is said, one expects at least a whimper of protest from the reasonable pro-choicers. But, I never saw it and assumed that it was tacit approval of the statement.

What to say...but more than 50% of torture on indian women happens from women only. But that torture is hardly any physical abuse or assaults type. Beating is not on in any case. Its very unfair to do that on a weaker sex.

The question of choice is pretty reasonable. Abortion by itself can be perecived as cruel or just another operation. But mother has to bear the child and go through the pain. So where is question of denying her the right.

+1 If you do not give her choice, that is unreasonable in my books.

What a horrible piece of crap this is. But then again, people on this board support gender discrimination via female feticide as long it is the mother's choice that she wants only male children.
A lot of people here believe in the woman's right to decide but I don't think any one believe that women have a right to decide selectively on the basis of gender.Aborting a child on the basis of gender is a criminal offense.Even trying to know the sex of the child is an offense.

Judge who made 'wife beating' remark shifted from family matters Following an outrage over remarks made by Justice Bhakthavatsala of Karnataka High Court during a hearing in a domectic violence case, all family court matters have been shifted from him. The matters have been shifted to the court of justices KL Manjunath and V Suri Appa Rao from the court of Justice Bhakthavatsala and Justice BS Indrakala, according to media reports. The changes will reportedly come into effect from September 10. Justice Bhakthavatsala observed during a hearing in a domectic violence case that it was alright for a husband to beat up his wife as long he was taking good care of her. The woman had complained to the bench of Justice K Bhaktavatsala and Justice BS Indrakala that her husband beat her up regularly and had once thrown her out of their house. Justice Bhaktavatsala told the 28-year-old woman that she has to adjust with the husband and that all women suffer in marriages. "Why are you still talking about his beatings? I know you have undergone pain. But that is nothing in front of what you undergo as a woman. I have not undergone such pain. But madam (Justice BS Indrakala) has," he observed. But the woman told the court that she was unwilling to return to her husband. Justice Bhaktavatsala asked the husband to take his wife and son out for a lunch and have a davanagere benne dose (a popular dish) and hoped it will be alright. The judge came under attack from for his statement from Karnataka State Commission for Women as well as from law fraternity. Manjula C, commission's chairperson, slammed his stand and said that a person in such a high office should not make such comments. "There are laws to protect woman and her rights and if people like him are telling husband beats wife is ok, then who are to protect woman," Manjula said. "A woman if she comes to the court means she passed through all levels of harassments and court is her last chance. If she was told to adjust with the harassment, then where she should go?" "It is unconstitutional and illegal. A husband shall not assault the wife in connection with any dispute or whatsoever. If the judge made this statement, then it is unconstitutional," M Devaraj, a senior advocate of the high court. http://www.hindustantimes.com/India-news/NewDelhi/Judge-who-made-wife-beating-remark-shifted-from-family-matters/Article1-926399.aspx

Mate, you feel abortion is wrong - don't do it. I understand where you are coming from but killing every life on this planet would be a sin then.
