Assassin's Creed: Brahman hints at the future beyond AC4 image_306509_full.jpgAC-Brahman-00-610x925.jpgAC-Brahman-04-610x925.jpg Ubisoft has revealed a new Assassin's Creed comic that will provide clues about the future direction of the series beyond October's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, Assassin's Creed: Brahman is set in India and is strongly inspired by Stanley Kubrick's films, according to writer Brenden Fletcher. image_306505_full.jpg The comic is in the works at UbiWorkshop, a branch of the company located among the development teams at Ubisoft Montreal. It's responsible for the creation of comics, graphic novels and other works inspired by the universes of Ubisoft's game franchises. It previously produced the comics Assassin's Creed: The Fall and Assassin's Creed: The Chain. "India provides the stunning backdrop for Assassin's Creed: Brahman in both the modern day and in the 18th century, opening the door for an examination of the evolution of a culture still in the throes of reinvention since liberating itself from colonial rule. "The story follows the adventures of Arbaaz Mir as he faces down a foe who subjugated his land and people and who's now in possession of an artefact that may be a very powerful Piece of Eden. Will he disobey the Brotherhood and take the life of his greatest foe? Will he uncover the secret of the artefact? Will his connection to Abstergo programmer Jot Soora be revealed?" Fletcher said: "I can say without reservation that this comic book is strongly inspired by the films of Stanley Kubrick. We wanted to do something different - tell a type of story never before seen in the Assassin's Creed universe - and touch on corners of the brand not yet explored by the video games. "Brahman answers a lot of questions and opens a ton of new doors. Fans who want to know what the future holds for Assassin's Creed beyond Back Flag would be advised to give it a read! Hint! Hint!" Ubisoft has confirmed a current-gen and Wii U Assassin's Creed 4 release date of October 29 in the US and November 1 in UK. Release dates for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions have yet to be announced. Ubisoft Toronto managing director Jade Raymond said in March that developers at the Splinter Cell: Blacklist studio have begun collaborating with Ubisoft Montreal on the follow-up to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
