panther
So BCCI told Gambhir to play a reckless shot when he's on 97 so that Dhoni could be the next big thing in Indian cricket after Sachin retires. Yep, Makes perfect sense. :hysterical: Seems like India winning the World Cup is still hurting you more than anyone.:hysterical: poor soul You will never understand oh well carry on in your :film: Link to comment

NareshK
Dhoni seemed really pissed off when he batted today too, right after Raina got out. He is angry with the batsmen for not doing their job. That's why he was trying to hit sixes rather than play on the ground. He hit 4 sixes in 32 runs and no 4s. He eventually holed out and cost India the match. :hehe: Link to comment

NareshK
but batsmen did okay job today:hmmm: One of the top order batsmen should be there till 35th or 40th over. All batsmen got out after starts. But this is what scoreboard pressure does to you. Link to comment
Marut
Ishant 0/86 cost us the match today. So much for his desire to bowl 100mph not so long ago. Link to comment

yoda
Ishant needs to be dropped ASAP. He is a waste of space in all formats. Pujara has to come in, but we have no slots given that Jadeja is hanging on to the team with better performance than our primary spinner. Dinda is useless, but to be fair needs to be given a decent run before being dumped. Link to comment
Vivek.S.123
Dhoni should only lead the ODI team. With Kohli leading T20s & Gambhir leading Tests Link to comment
someone
Dhoni should only lead the ODI team. With Kohli leading T20s & Gambhir leading Tests Lol. Virat is in terrible form and really is a "new" player for T20s. Gambhir has been in worse form in Tests, even worse than Gambhir. Best way atm would be to "reduce workload" on Dhoni by making Raina captain of T20s. Link to comment

someone
Has the barometer for worst now become Gambhir? I meant Dhoni. Dhoni has performed better than Gambhir. and Gambhir is perhaps the last player we wants as a captain. He is prone to making silly statements and has mental issues. Pre IPL 5, no one rated him as captain and winning a IPL does not change that. Link to comment

asterix
Eik chhoti si asha.... Want somebody to captain differently. Got dead bored by watching the same brand of captaincy for so many years now... Not saying Dhoni be dropped... Link to comment
NareshK
He is not selecting the right team for the conditions. 7 batsmen should have been there, Yuvraj should have bowled more and Dinda should have bowled in the death. Arent these mistakes by the captain ? Dhoni is not much of a reader of the game or a strategist. His strengths are being calm under pressure and he takes gambles which look great when they pay off but look stupid when they dont. Also him being a wicket keeper, he cant talk to a bowler as he walks back to the run up after being hit for 4 or 6. Its important to calm the nerves of a young bowler or tell him where he should bowl when there is pressure. This is a disadvantage because Dhoni cant do this. With experienced bowlers like Zaheer, Munaf, Nehra, Bhajji in World Cup, he got away with it. With BK, Shami, Jadeja, Ashwin, there has to be someone there who can guide them on the field. King Tendulkar
So Srinivasan is BCCI president till September 2014, 21 months away. Seems like an age. So it does not matter how many games we lose, how bad we become or how many embarassing white washes we suffer. With the patronage of the president , we are stuck with Dhoni till Sep 2014 Link to comment

Yet retains his job, captain has to take a lot of the blame and fact he is not bothered about test cricket is added factor. Has any indian captain lost so many games, so badly like this and retained their job? He owes srinivasan a lot, no wonder CSK and ipl is the most important thing for dhoni Link to comment
