He doesn't believe in technique (he said this often in many interviews) and that's why he looks more positive while batting in Odis in overseas conditions and he looks so pathetic in test matches. He doesn't believe in using cricketing skills and that's why we see the bowling changes he makes which is completely ridiculous like he did in the second Odi when he asked to bowl Raina and virat in the first fifteen overs. He goes by instincts and to be fair to him his instincts were proved right in the 2007 wc when he asked to bowl johinder Sharma the last over and the 18th over he asked to bowl ishant Sharma in champions trophy finals. His instincts have failed terribly plenty of times and this is when he pisses off so many cricket fans. He thinks fast bowling is easy and that's why he asks them to bowl in too many spells. Fast bowlers will get injured and their confidence would be destroyed if he continues this way.

Not sure if we were winning comfortably. Lankans thrashed by around 150 runs, we thrashed WI and then scraped through vs SL after a poor batting display. Would have lost the final if he did not play that innings. While we are at it, let me get an answer from you. Sachin did not play the ODIs after WC, did not play vs Eng or WI at home. But went to CB series and played in the Asia Cup, was it his insecurity? Lure of money? That 100th 100? Or just the passion for the game and commitment to the country?

A good businessman will always lead from the front and protect his interests. Unfortunately he is more of a businessman now than a sportsman and most of his decisions as a captain seem to be to protect and encourage his businesses in the form of CSK/Rhiti players. I do agree his captaincy was awful and selecting two spinners in Saf pitches,bowling part timers during 13th over was a big mistake but doesn't mean he lost his passion for cricket.
