For a few days during the ODI series I didn't even bother to check the site much since the mood here was like Dhoni would have been blamed even for Kejriwal's resignation. Other than that I am not of that sort, reappear after a good knock and go missing if he fails.

Ok he's bowled well but he doesnt swing the ball like shami. so why not use ishant after 8 overs? wasting the new ball when you need 9 more wickets... truly dhoni captaincy

Thankfully the dead-weights in Tendulkar, Laxman, Dravid, Sehwag and Gambhir are gone. I wish we had blooded some of the younger batsmen after we lost 0-4 in England. But we kept the same batting lineup and went 0-4 against Aus as well :((

( barring nohit ) but we cnat do anything with our bowling consistently

Now our batting looks reliable with most of the younger batsmen looking assured. If Rohit doesn't improve soon he will be replaced by Tiwary, Jadhav or someone else. Bowling is the main worry but hopefully we will improve. If we can unearth a quality fast bowling all-rounder we will be one of the better teams going around. Our lack of pace all-rounders is what holds us back as we have to go with Jaddu/Ashwin even though they can't do much on green wkts.

Not the defeats but performances over the last 4 overseas Tests. We've a batting lineup who has performed reasonably tough conditions in SA and NZ. If we can get a bowling lineup who can complement the batting lineup (hopefully with Zak being pushed out of the team), we will be a tough out for any team. If you can't see that from the 0-8 days, there's not much to discuss.

Sure drop him if you think that was the difference in 0-8. I think 0-8 would happen regardless but to each his own.
