VRV Singh Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 i'm happy they won because they are a likeable team, fun to watch and they actually look like they are enjoying themselves out there. a good t20 side for others to emulate, big hitting batsmen from top to bottom, annoying spinners that are tough to get away, and really good fielders. thats how its done. Well said. This will be a popular win all round. I had my doubts pre-tournament but in truth the people calling them as favourites got it spot on.
vvvslaxman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I don't think Windies played to their true potential in this world T20. They showed some sparks. They are better than this. That is scary
Ultimate_Game Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 WI celebrations were epic at the end with Gayle leading the way :haha:
1983-2011 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 What made us love West Indies so much in this tournament and specially in this match today? I felt the same joy as I felt when India won it in 07 and last year:yay: well not exact that much but you know what I mean... West Indies:icflove:
Sidhoni Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Not the same joy as India, but it was great to see WI lifting the cup.

Ultimate_Game Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Fun fact - West Indies did not win a single game in the first round. :winky: The only thing that matters is how you end, and not how you begin
BeautifulGame Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Just their coolness.Even in CLT20 many people supported T&T. So not sure its mainly about history
jairamesh Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I don't think Windies played to their true potential in this world T20. They showed some sparks. They are better than this. That is scary They can still improve on their opening. But more awesome is a fit Kemar Roach would have been a huge a bonus. He is ideal t20 bowler.
BeautifulGame Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Fun fact - West Indies did not win a single game in the first round. :winky: Fun fact 2 - Neither did ENgland in last T20 wc when they won the title:dance:
jairamesh Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Fun fact - West Indies did not win a single game in the first round. :winky: Technically they only won three games out of seven.
Ultimate_Game Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Technically they only won three games out of seven. As long as you win the matches that count, you are fine. India also failed to beat SA and Eng in 2011 WC in group stages but when it counted India beat the opponents which is what matters.
Crookbond Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Fun fact 2 - Neither did ENgland in last T20 wc when they won the title:dance: I was going to say that next you spoilt all the fun :yousuck:
BeautifulGame Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I was going to say that next you spoilt all the fun :yousuck: Fun fact -3 . Indian won all their matches in the group stages in the last 3 world cups in which we failed to make it to semis. Certainly starts doesnt matter
