in any case lets see what happens with sandeep patil in charge. will he take the fight to dhoni and bring balance? that is the big question as i dont think Dhoni will quit that easily.

No' date=' but I want my wicketkeeper to be at least of test match standard. And if he is not, he better be as capable a batsman as Gilchrist or Flower to make up for his mediocre keeping skills, not that the two I mentioned were mediocre keepers by any stretch of imagination like Dhoni.[/quote'] dhoni is not mediocre...right now prior is best keeper right? lets see wht he does when he tours india... dhoni performs at home and home like conditions so does prior whats the difference? :dontknow: imho dhoni performance was bad in last 2 away series but from standard of keepers it wasnt that bad.. but our batting super stars were awful captaincy is another discussion...he was really bad in tests.. can live with him for now in odis and t20

Sean Bradley, Asking him to remove from T20 captaincy is NOT defending. Accepting that his batting and keeping were not up to the mark during the England and Australia tours is NOT defending. Singling out one person for other people's performances is me being delusional or you? The fact is that you guys are inconsistent - one hand you want Gambhir/Sehwag to be given chances on pedigree but on other hand you do not want MS Dhoni to continue despite pedigree. Yea carry on. :good:
its about Dhoni's workload too,he did it well till WC but now seems mentally tired n going theu the motions.maybe atleast his performance will improve.

No ones singling out Dhoni, I am not, neither i am asking for dhonis head off captaincy, nor i want sehwag or gambhir as captain, i have not mentioned this anywhere in any of my posts, i am agreeing with akash chopra that if dhoni has to survive any longer as a captain of team india then he needs to buckle up, top gear, no tactical errors, fearless as he was when he broke into the scene.

Your conspiracy theory on Dhoni promoting himself in the final ahead of Yuvraj made me crack though. :haha: Also, explain us how he "stole Yuvraj's thunder" in the semi final against Pakistan as well.

Probably, he wanted the man of the tournament to avoid scoring another duck in a knockout game . People just need something to make an issue of - one says he did not stand up when needed, when he does the other says it is "stealing someone's thunder" :cantstop: as if it was a given that Yuvraj Singh would perform  lagey rahiye janaab India TV needs some news too. :nice:

We are ON about Dhoni being dropped from the captaincy not temporarily sidelined - note the difference in the two before doing :giggle: or :haha: or :hysterical: Tendulkar would be my choice IF the kids exams are not around the corner. And yeah :giggle:

:nono: He stole the thunder from Yuvraj Singh. He was not given the opportunity to give Yuvraj the thunder of scoring a second duck in the tournament. :headshake: Btw, I also blame Dhoni because Zaheer Khan did not bowl well in the death overs of the final - he stole Zaheer's thunder too. :agree: Else he would have ended with a better economy rate. And yeah during the QF at the Motera stadium food & drinks were not served properly during the game to spectators. Can't Dhoni even request the BCCI to take care of the fans? :dontknow: After all, he controls the complete BCCI - selections of 16, selection of 11, the pitches and the domestic format as well.

It wasnt given that yuvraj would perform, but yuvi was in red hot form, thats all i am saying, now to deviate from worldcup Final, where was your captain cool against south africa in World T20 when he has the ability to accelerate against spin, and has a good record against the likes of steyn?

Also, if Dhoni would have done that then you would call him rigid! It is a far hack comparing the World T20 game against South Africa a T20 game to a ODI WC 2011 final.
