Harbhajan Singh, Ajinkya Rahane and Ashok Dinda were released by the Indian team management on Wednesday (December 5) for the next round of Ranji Trophy matches for their respective states starting Saturday, the fourth day of the ongoing India vs England Test match in Kolkata. Harbhajan and Rahane will face-off in a Group A clash between Punjab and Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium, while Ashok Dinda, the Bengal pacer, will return to spearhead the team’s attack against Saurashtra in another Group A clash in Rajkot. The decision was seen as a move to have all three players, who were left out of the playing XI for the Kolkata Test, match-fit if called upon for the fourth and final Test against England in Nagpur starting December 13. While Harbhajan, who is on the cusp of 100 Test matches, had very little to cheer about in India’s 10-wicket loss to England in Mumbai, Rahane and Dinda are yet to get a look in in the series.

The last match wasn't played on a flat patta. Had plenty of bounce - in fact, Ankeet Chavan used the bounce quite well.

Hmmm, in fact, India won the SA Test at Eden as well (which I watched). Again, my record in Nagpur is pretty neat as well.
