Both tournaments being just a week apart makes comparison is valid Here is what I observed in the first couple of games of CLT20 CLT20: Nicer ground, good pitches, good weather, sexy professional cheerleaders, Extremely sensible crowd, Wonderful turnout WT20: Ok pitches, Ok ground, alright weather, piss poor crowd, ugly ass cheerleaders, biased turnout

But still didn't feel urge to watch the game.
Same here you talk about CLT20 when big names are missing. Where is the best spinner in the world? where is the best pace bowler in the world? Where is the best T20 batsman in the world? none of them are playing. Yes, ajmal, steyn and gayle, none are playing. I understand that there wasnt great atmosphere for the T20 WC but the matches where very interesting and we saw quality cricke throughout the tournament. who wanna watch pradeep sangwan and balaji bowling?

For every Gayle and Steyn, there were plenty of crappy batsmen and bowlers on display in World T20. The whole first round was just a formality, Group A games were not really that great. The tournament picked up some momentum towards the end. The big culprit is the pitches. They were too slow and not good for batting and outfields were also very poor for T20 cricket.

The best T20 spinner in the world is Sunil Naraine.

here in clt20 we can see batsman not even seeing the ball, esp. in the 2nd innings of both matches. IPL was great, WT20 is slightly better but the fact remains that t20 wc had some great contest like malinga being whipped in the abyss by samuels. here i dont find that thing.

Let me get this straight..You are comparing what happened in the finals to the 1st day of CL? Why dont we compare the 1st day of both ?? Its understandable that you dont like Champions league as not a single BD player will play (unless kallis is injured), so you have very little stake in it.

I swear half the guys here were whining about the T20 during the first 3-4 days. It's been an exciting start for the CL with pacy pitches that are going to give pacers the edge rather than the usual spin-friendly subcontinental scenario.

Sure, so it's more fun when 4-5 known guys knock around and dominate? or is it more fun when young electrifying guys from around the world come along and compete like champions? Talking of known "legends" you have Watson, Sachin, Dhoni, Raina, Narine, Hussey, Pietersen, Kohli, ABDV, Ross...and many many and many more...

CLT20 gets more audience on TV and more crowds at the stadiums than Test cricket does all year combined. :hmmm: Not to mention, the tix are actually expensive :hmmm: I bet the revenue is out of this world

Kohli and ABDV are not playing B->B-> the point is that this tournament is a battleground for domestic players and a showdown for IPL teams so far ipl-teams have failed to live upto their expectations

I agree with transparent, it's always nice to see some new talent and some different teams. You get a nice combination of world-famous players and domestic talent, and this time the domestic talent isn't only Indian.

Agree that the atmosphere is very good...very pleasant to watch compared to world t20; however the quality of cricket should be lower because of the calibre of players. We'll see how it goes.

:giggle: I see this tournament as a fusion of the following four groups 1: Regular International Cricketers 2: Eligible international players who have the caliber but do not fit into an XI regulary 3: Exceptionally talented young guys 4: Trundlers It's just a wonderful tournament all around. I prefer CLT20 over IPL just b/c of the international teams add a new dimension. To think, plenty of these so called "legends" of WT20i were discovered by CLT20 and IPL. (Watson, Warner, Narine, YK Pathan...just to name a few)
