Kohli and ABDV are not playing B->B-> the point is that this tournament is a battleground for domestic players and a showdown for IPL teams so far ipl-teams have failed to live upto their expectations
yup last two CLT20s have been won by non-IPL teams :hmmm:

let me be honest with you guys, in terms of real cricket Ill always pick the T20 WC because we see so many intl supestars together and all these are great to watch. Not to mention the matches are very competitive. NZ and SA might have lost all their S8 games but their matches went down to the wire. In terms of contest T20WC is a class apart But CLT20 is also a very good tournament, not in terms of cricket quality but the oppurtunity that it present to the cricket world. a tournament where domestic teams which hardly get TV exposure get to play in front of a lot of viewers. Not to mention CLT20 also has a mix of quality players. CLT20 is also a good source of income for these players and also an extra tournament for playing. The inlt exposure is also good for the players and franchises in the cricket world use this CLT20 to find some t20 stars. Guys like peter trego and kevon cooper got chance in BPL after last years CLT20...guys like narine, cooper as well and few others got IPL contract thanks to performance in CLT20 But one issue is that this tournament creates too small an oppurtunity for teams outside the big 3: SA, OZ nd India thats one backdraw for this tournament

CL20 for me cause unlike Indian team which sucks in World T20, I have 4 teams to support, hoping at least one of them go through to the finals. :winky:

atmosphere is definitely better in CLT20. some of the spectator dont even know the names of team yet they come out to watch the game unlike the lankan, who dont even go to watch a national team. lankans should not even be allowed to host a tea party let alone a world cup.

I am not following either to that extent. Except the Indian matches in CL T20 and the DD vs KKR match in CL T20' date=' I haven't watched either tournament.[/quote'] I follow this just to make fun of IPL teams :cantstop: . Essentially i can't wait for them to fail.

pathetic atmoshpere today and boring cricket on display. and no1 seems to be interested in this match either except the players and few fans. Cricket isnt cricket unless ur playing in the subcontinent.... #t20

and top of that the great IPL teams have been failing miserably. To be fair to the intl stars, theyve just played in the the subcontinent not too long ago and the pitches there were quite slow and low as oppossed to bounce, pace and swing in these conditions. also, the indian players are not quite used to playing in these conditions so you are expected to fail. On the other hand auckland aces have practiced here for 2 weeks if im not mistaken, no wonder they look so tough. anyways, the tournament has been a bit borin so far. nowhere near as interesting as WT20 or IPL

IPL teams fail here because the IPL squad is tuned for Indian conditions. Taking CSK as an example, CSK hasnt had a single domestic pacer playing regularly since balaji but has 4 spinner/part time spinners in squad. Even scott styris and bravos style of slow bowling was handy in India. The problem with the CSK squad is that there is no domestic pace bowler in the squad. Ideally, Albie should be playing instead of bollinger or ben with a Indian pacer opening the bowling.MI and KKR have similar problems. Delhi, on the other hand, is filled with decent/good indian pace bowlers and should do well here.

^^ agreed DD along with auckland, titans and sydney sixers are among the favourites for this tournament. why? because theyve got players that are built for this kind of pitces, KP, Warner, taylor, morkel and the indian players look decent here.

The way the tourney is shaping' date=' im starting to think that its gonna be worse than the premiere league that happens in zimbabwe[/quote'] why do you think the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe is worse, not every country can organise an event like IPL, the cricket boards have to stay within their means when organising events like these or it could end up like BPL where some of the players are still yet to be paid for their services
