Get outta here!!!..There is no way you can compare Trott with this!... Tendulkar had his fingers under the frigging ball for crying out loud!.. Though it was not out... its a very understandable appeal.. the umpire even lifted his finger up immediately. IN Dhoni's case, again.. any time a ball stops just short.. it is very understandable to appeal it because the fielder, unless he sees the ball, will NOT feel any different if the ball just stops short and lands in his hands... Where do you get off comparing Trott who dropped the ball 6 inches from his arm to the grass and Dhoni/Tendulkar where the ball just stops short!!.. There is just no comparison here.

All hell would have broken loose if an Indian player had done this. English media wouldnt have stopped whining about sportsman spirit' date=' cheating etc. and somehow also brought [b']BCCI, DRS into the issue.
And don't forget IPL too somehow.

He's thinking 'No DRS. If I say that I've caught it, then maybe the umpires will take my word and I can get my team a wicket.' Unfortunately he's not a good actor and wasn't at all convincing when he said he caught it and started to celebrate with high-5's. Unlike Slater, who celebrated like he won the world cup.

That Steve Waugh clip posted by Numb is the worst one I have seen. SRT was touch and go one can't blame him. Dhoni was bad claiming that catch.

It's hard to call this as a cheat. Its tough for the WKs to judge if the ball dropped short in front of the gloves.
