It is safe to say most us on ICF aren't arm chair fans. I was chatting with an uncle of mine after the end of this match and he was on about how selectors should drop Kohli and Ashwin and bring back likes of Dravid and Mishra. He added India should persevere with Bhajji, SRT, and Yuvi because they are proven players! And I thought to myself "are our selectors any different, are they just arm chair fans making important selections without thought of long term planning, strategy, match conditions, assessing opposition to minute detail etc.!??" So this poll is to select a starting XI for the 3rd Test calling upon ICFers' "expertise" :hehe: based on what they have seen and stats from recent Tests, Domestic, India A matches etc. At the end of the day the selectors have better access to players' fitness, domestic performance report, they are ex-players themselves. Let's see what selectors/Dhoni go for vs ICF selection. Links to other poll pages for ICF starting XI: OPENERS MIDDLE ORDER KEEPER TWEAKERS PACEMEN

Ashwin-Ojha.. I remember hearing lot of hype about an offie- Parmar few years back. Not sure what happened to him. IIRC his average were in 'teens.
Turns out he was a chucker in Murli mould. He modelled himself on Murli. BCCI told him to change action, now can't even get into his Ranji side.

Actually I would prefer powar over Ojha/ Ashwin. Both were pretty boring and picked up wicketds for far too many runs (especially Ashwin). Powar won't be so boring, afterall he will atkleast entertain us with his fielding and bowling

I genuinely feel if we had Jadeja in 2nd test instead of Bhajji we might have won.Every time he has played in turning wkts in Raji Jadeja has taken bucket load of wickets. His style of bowling quicker is much more effective in turning tracks imo
