And full marks to you for thinking smoking marijuana and smoking tobacco is the same. I am sure you beleive a gentleman smoking marijuana in front of a school where your kid goes to is the same as another smoking cigarette. As for the "illegality" piece, I mentioned this in my first post, how this essentially brings out the "selfishness" of people. Marijuana is illega. Period. As a reasonable citizen you should obey the law of the land or try to change it in the rightful manner. The failure to do so results in demand which is wiping out cities and making them amongst the most violent in the world. Of course you can smoke your pipe and blame it on the Government, I am only too happy I dont have to worry about the moral dilemma. xxx

When experts on drugs inform the government that marijuana isn't really that harmful and the government fires that guy, you need to realise they don't care for facts. It's going to be pointless exercise trying to convince them otherwise

Arnold Schwarzenegger today claimed no one cares if people smoke a joint. The Hollywood actor turned governor of California signed a law five weeks ago that made possession of up to an ounce of marijuana the equivalent of a traffic ticket. It carries a penalty of no more than a 100 dollar (£62) fine and no arrest or criminal record. He defended the law in a TV interview, telling host Jay Leno on NBC television's Tonight Show it was a good idea. According to a transcript of the interview, Schwarzenegger said: "No one cares if you smoke a joint or not." On election day, voters rejected a further initiative that would have allowed adults aged 21 and older to possess and grow small amounts of marijuana. The governor, who is wrapping up his final term, told Leno the ballot proposal went too far.
