Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I am not congratulating because it was more of a non performance on our part then skill on England's part. Let us be fair. Sri Lanka half performed and almost won. Pak performed and whitewashed them. If we had played to what we are capable of we would have won. We gifted Panesar his wickets at Mumbai. We choose the wrong bowlers and our batting failed collectively. Even Cook, we didn't have the bowlers to test him. He is not a good enough player to make 3 hundreds consecutively.

Once again, learn to be gracious in defeat and give credit where it's due. The reason for our non-performance was that England didn't let our players perform. It's not their fault for us sticking to 40 year olds or going in with bits & pieces players. They showed plenty of character after being walloped in the 1st Test and outplayed India in India, both at bowling spin and batting against spin. They definitely were the better team and deserve all the plaudits.
Laaloo Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Congratulations on beating this *****y ass over the hill Indian team

No one is debating who played better. It's a case of India not playing well at all to such an extent that an England team who plays poor in the subcontinent won.

Coming back from a hammering in the opening Test, losing the toss on turners and still going on to win says a lot about England. They did much more than just turn up. They beat India at their own game which not many have managed to do.

We are unreliable and it's not just England that could capitalise.

The Realist Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Eng deserved to win. Look at when Ind when 1 down in Eng & Aus and how they capitulated - credit to Eng to show fight and turn the series around. So many things are wrong with this Ind team, just so many.
Eternal Atma Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 We didn't to WI and NZ. They are very poor at spin. I think those games would be closer now with WI getting some form and NZ seam attack getting better.
jairamesh Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hollow win for England. India lead by a moronic captain with the baggage of pensioners and non-merited selections. Any one of Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan or Sri Lanka would have put this Indian XI in their place.

Made england look good, which they are not. This was about india being bas rather then england good. Hollow win

King Tendulkar Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Sod being sporting. They wouldnt!!! Hollow win and does not count as we were corrupt. This series does not count and should have asterix next to it.

jairamesh Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hollow orr not' date=' a series win nevertheless.[/quote'] Obviously not denying them, kudos to England, after nearly three decades of waiting. But just saying like September 2011 England got to India first, before likes South Africa or Australia or Pakistan played this pathetic Indian XI. And it won't be long before Dobell and co sets of on another one of their "Anderson the best paceman playing.." or starts putting Swann alongside Warne, Kumble, and Murli.
maverick451 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 You guys werent saying India were shite before this series, all the talk was how great India were at home and how it would be a 4-0 revenge series
