Ultimate_Game Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Update: Congrats on winning a Test series in India after 28 years!!! Pretty well done and you were the much better side this series :hatsoff: *********************************** Team England take a bow :hatsoff: I, and most Indian fans, didn't think you had it in you to win a Test in India. I thought at the very least India would win 2-0 with England manging couple of draws at best. Boy was I proven wrong! Even after losing the 1st Test comprehensively and with India winning all the 3 tosses, which is a big advantage, England showed plenty of character and fight to get the better of conditions and India. I don't think I have ever seen India outplayed so comprehensively at home and that speaks volumes about this English team. Hats off England, you have been the much better team so far this series and no matter what happens in the last Test you can go back heads held high and most probably with a series win in India.
yoda Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I think Monty and Cook were game changers. We had no standouts after test 1.
amiret Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 congratulations Eng , you are true champions. You are a vastly superior team and have proven this by winning 2 consecutive matches in India.
JaFanatic Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 have to admit they got the deserving victory! in jhonty's words a player's true commitment can be seen in his fielding for which he wont get any reward. well i dont see the commitment in many of our players
Ultimate_Game Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 I tell you man this is tougher than 0-8. Now our cricketers can't even be bothered to put up a fight at the very least.
gimac Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Eng have done well and I expect them to win Nagpur without any trouble.
maniac Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 India will win in Nagpur ,but still Congratulations England and yes, still humble-pies for us Hopefully we give England the glory of Drawing the test series in India rather than winning it
BERGKAMP Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 congratulations england, fantastic first test series win in 28 years :hatsoff:
saneindian Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Well done to England. Fantastic start for Cook as a full time captain. Considering the challenges he had before him (KP saga, huge loss in 1st test, bowling and batting looking clueless), the way he has turned the fortunes of his side has been highly impressive. Cook himself was the difference between the two sides
Swing_n_Speed Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Well done to England. Fantastic start for Cook as a full time captain. Cook himself was the difference between the two sides To come back after the first test is commendable. More-so playing in India where the Brits would've known, going one down right at the start of the series was the death knell. The way they came back in this series is damn inspiring. Offcourse if you analyze things closely one realizes that in this entire series England had just one bad innings. Which was in the first test. They worked on their strengths, took away positives and well so far it has gone in their favor. Hope India fights till the end in this final test.
Asim Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Congrats India for leveling the series... was never easy after getting 2-1 down but... Welldone Dhoni & his boys...!!!
