maniac Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Going by this...looks like Shami Ahmed is the best of the lot....or am i missing something?
Number Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Awana has been in better form recently. Pankaj Singh's case is very strange actually. Harby and yuvi(dropped) from North Zone so it gave Awana edge over Pankaj Singh(Central Zone)

Harby and yuvi(dropped) from North Zone so it gave Awana edge over Pankaj Singh(Central Zone) What about Shami Ahmed?...looks like he has done pretty well too.a shade better than the other too...going by the recent matches data
Old guy Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Going by this...looks like Shami Ahmed is the best of the lot....or am i missing something? still a rookie..selecting him too early can lead to him ending up like ishant :p
vivek_singh3187 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Pankaj Singh is the most consistent & experienced of the three, but anyways happy with selection of Awana...hope that he performs consistently well & doesn't turn into list of craps.
maniac Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 still a rookie..selecting him too early can lead to him ending up like ishant :p So are we waiting till he becomes a veteran at FC level...gets injured in between, comes back with a modified action, reduces his pace to focus on line and length, etc :two_thumbs_up:
Old guy Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Pankaj Singh is the most consistent & experienced of the three' date=' but anyways happy with selection of Awana...hope that he performs consistently well & doesn't turn into list of craps.[/quote'] his selection is fine..he deserves it b.kumar deserves to be in shorter formats...jaddu is bad pick sorry but from wht i have seen of him he is not good enough also droping zack im surprised not many people are angry:((

Old guy Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 In T20's-Double yes In tests-No-He has earned it no he has not bits and pieces cricketers never work want good example? look at patel....
maniac Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 no he has not bits and pieces cricketers never work want good example? look at patel.... He has been a batsman in prolific form...and right now we need an inform batsman-what are the chances he will s***-very very high. Who is one of the most inform batsman in FC right now-he deserves it. Who knows I mean Raina and Yuvi look 3rd rate in test cricket but in ODI's and T20's-they are a different animal...so why not give Jaddu a chance-not that he has not earned it like I said

vivek_singh3187 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Though jaddu surely doesn't gives much confidence, but probably his stats in the current Ranji season may have clicked on the selectors mind....But what the hell is that CHAWLA guy doing in Tests & T20's ....Rishi Dhawan could have been selected in T20's..& AMIT MISHRA is much better option in Tests.
BERGKAMP Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 hooray, another kumar soon to be added to my avatar
Magneto Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Also on what basis has Awana jumped ahead the likes of so many other fast bowling names that were being discussed here...can any domestic cricket experts on the forum enlighten me? BTW I like Awana,so not a dig...just an honest question This is your honest answer - Awana has not jumped the queue, in fact, he was pretty much in the queue ahead of Pankaj Singh and Shami Ahmed. In the tour game, he was part of the India-A squad along with Dinda, Pathan, and VK. Pankaj Singh might be the next pace bowler in the queue. Shami Ahmed has potential, but in no way is he ready yet. He's hardly ever done well (and has also played very little) against a good FC batting side. He just has a handful of 5ers and has been really average for Bengal in this season.
