NareshK
Unprecedented outrage. Didnt expect such a large scale protest. It shows how frustrated and vexed people are with government. If only people can unite and react like this for everything wrong in society unlike the callous and apathetic attitude we generally adopt.
DomainK
Now the protest has been politicized with the BJP and Anna+Kejriwal's supporters joining in. It seems it's also getting more violent. It's unfortunate. Political parties should have stayed away from it.
Anonymous
This woman always amazes me. :isalute: She gets a high whenever she is under the illusion that she is championing the causes of the downtrodden and marginalized. Less said about her the better. People like her are happy living their "rich" lifestyles while flogging the communist/socialist agenda for fame and personal high. she cant even resist herself even at this crucial juncture for crime against women in this country. I was being sarcastic. Its sad that she thinks people reacted like this only because "lower class" men raped a "middle class" woman. Shame she had to bring class into this. beetle
Another gangrape victim battles injuries, 8 of 15 held minors Even as the gangrape of a woman in a moving bus in New Delhi continues to shock the country, an 18-year-old is battling severe mental trauma and physical injuries after being gangraped and assaulted in East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. Of the 16 named in the FIR, 15 have been picked up by the police. Eight are minors, between the ages of 13 and 17. A student of a local high school on the outskirts of Williamnagar, the district headquarters, the girl was accosted on December 13 while on her way back from celebrations to mark the local Simsang festival. She was bludgeoned with a stone, cut with a knife and injured in her genital area. “While two of the girls (with her) ran away, the men caught hold of her, dragged her to a bush by the roadside, and assaulted her. How many raped her is yet to be ascertained,” East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Vijay Kumar Mantri told The Indian Express, adding that the girl had suffered major injuries and was undergoing treatment in Williamnagar. Mantri said the accused belonged to adjoining villages, including from the girl’s own village. They would have killed her with the stone but for the fact that she recognised one of them who was allegedly attacking her with a knife and called out his name. Scared, they left her and fled. She lost a lot of blood by the time she was found. “The seven adults, between 18 and 22 years of age, have been sent to police custody and a case of assault and rape has been slammed against them,” the deputy commissioner said. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/another-gangrape-victim-battles-injuries-8-of-15-held-minors/1049453/ Minors involved once again. The guy who used the rusted iron rod on the delhi victim is also a minor. They will all get out after sometime in juvenile homes. The law will even protect their identities so they can get out and no one will know what heinous crimes they are capable of. Screw the human rights of these bastards. If they can rape they should be treated like adults and punished like adults.

Not sure if the Indian law has this provision, but most countries have it and it says that if a minor above 13 commits an adult crime, he can be prosecuted as an adult. And rape or sexual molestation is definitely an adult crime. I hope these idiots are tried as adults and locked away for a long time.
