CG
He has shown everything that a new ball bowler can have' date=' bowled quicker than anyone expected and can still get quicker as he is still just 22.[/quote'] He swings it late instead of from the hand which is rare. Link to comment

panther
yes irfan was...20 runs! irfan didn't really swing the ball upfront so no comparison. Link to comment

Lord
From what I have seen' date= If he goes for swing..he looses his pace....and if he paces it up..he looses his swing still a very good bowler..if he can consistently swing it even at 129 kph...he can be lethal that happens with Steyn too Link to comment
panther
so you are saying he was crap through out? :hmmm: no he relies more on pace and bounce. Link to comment
Old guy
that happens with Steyn too that happens with every one cos no one bowls at 100 % when ball is swinging try controlling a thing which moves in air...and try pitching both the balls which moves in and other out on same spot...swing bowling is hard :P Link to comment
Old guy
no he relies more on pace and bounce. but there was no pace at end ? 130k tundler :dontknow: what happened to wasim type yorkers at end at 145k? :(( Link to comment
Number
that happens with Steyn too Even Sreesanth drops his pace to 128-129 to get more swing. : Dtw aka EA Link to comment
dangerman1985
no he relies more on pace and bounce. don't worry mohd irfan will not be able to play for long as he has very poor fitness level and today it was seen that he can be easily smashed around. Link to comment

rkt.india
He has done well, look at the positives but he has to consistently improve in next 2 years, not go PK and RPs path and keep his basics and strengths intact. Link to comment
Old guy
Bechara got tired because of the humidity' date=' so did Dhoni who is extremely fit[/quote'] im just kidding here.. but there is difference as bowler there is no excuse to tundler at end of day dhoni was batting there from start but irfan did not bowled 30 overs.. :) also his fitness is bad u cannot as fast bowler who is selected in team for pace bowl at such low speeds at end ..today he could have lost game for u guys .. but no one cares cos u won (we indians have same attitude ) imo replace him with some one else..he is gonna get injured in match and its gonna cost u even on this pitch he did not pick many wickets..and in morning pitch was so good for bowlers.. panther
needs to improve his death bowling but gul should have bowled at the death instead of irfan. Link to comment
Serani
He is about 5 foot 8 and malnourished, no thanks jeff. Link to comment

Definitely he has a stamina issue, no doubt about that. But the positives of having him in the team are great, if he can continue to go for low runs at the start of a spell and rough up a few batsmen, thats a great addition. Atleast he should be given a fair run, and if he consistently shows that he cannot handle the ODI game, then should be dropped. Though I feel he is perfect for the T20 format Link to comment
Pioneer
Regarding B. Kumar, he's a great find. Reminds me of Kulasekera who we Pakistanis despise because hes demolished our top order many a time. Let B.Kumar play against countries more apt at playing swing and then we'd have a better idea of his skills Link to comment
