his seam position was good. some times' date=' it happens when one does not get swing. In Duleep final, he was the one bowler who looked like taking wicket on every ball. While Pankaj, Rituraj, BJ, Dinda all were playing the same match.[/quote'] BJ?

fellas... please go to youtube and watch some of Shami's bowling highlights from his NZ and WI tours last year and you will see what is the reason behind all the buzz being generated by him. His bowling skills are significantly above average and when on song he will rattle batsmen. I remember watching him, Veenie, and Unadkat bowl against Latham (from NZ A when he scored a crazy ton) and you could see the difference in Latham's approach when facing Shami. We can certainly not judge his caliber at the international level with just one game but if any bowler deserves to be groomed and nurtured then it is someone like this kid who is very unassuming and willing to learn. All this talk about his pace will be mute when we actually see him go full throttle. But let's not expect our quicks to debut like brett lee coz they don't get to bowl at indian batsmen :giggle:

also with 2 new balls isnt it possible one of them swings and other does not ?
good point.thats another thing captain should consider, maybe change end of the bowler who isnt swinging it.

I feel he just bowls a bit too short for swing.even in the NZ A match he bowled short of length.he hits the deck rather than bowl it full.Pandey bowls full n gets swing from what I saw

As saneindian said if not rotated bhuvi will go the p.k way.We just grind the bowlers to dust. Also 1st season is not the judje of any player when teams come know u then the real test starts.

true.. ball should swing till 15th over no ? its kind of hard they think he cannot bowl at end so they try to finish overs up front i think he can do decent job even at end if u trust ishant u can trust any one :P

:agree: Just because Bhuvi looks eager and hungry, that does not mean he should be used as a 'workhorse'. He's more the artist bowler than the 'workhorse' bowler, and he'll soon turn into a donkey if he is made to bowl straight ten-over-spells like yesterday.

this i agree with straight 10 over spell is hard :(( but can he bowl in middle overs ? :hmmm:

He wasn't competing with Bhatia. He was competing with Pradeep Sangwan :cantstop: Gauti and his Delhiboys hijacking Team KKR. Bhatia was three years senior to Gauti in the same school, so Gauti is still being a loyal junior. :winky:

Had he played more matches for KKR' date=' the selectors would have seen him play and fast tracked him into Indian team.[/quote'] The selectors already knew about him. Good they gave him a couple of A-tours before getting him into the team. That's the way to go. He has only played 15 FC games. That's enough fasttracking.
