Lord
Sehwag is that kind of player who can'tt be trusted in terms of form. He might go out there and hit a 30 ball-50 next match. Same can't be said about Gambhir. With the kind of form he is in' date=' I don't see him getting 50 even in first 3 matches combined.[/quote'] agree Link to comment
Lord
Gambhir looks the most clueless batsman in the Indian line up. There are others. But not as bad as him. I have heard of batsman increasing their range of shots. Gambhir increases his range of getting out. Inside edge' date=' poking one to slip, cut loosely to point, caught on the crease to get out lbw.[/quote'] :haha: Link to comment
Trichromatic
And you can't discount Srilanka for the sake of it anyways. I just did. Link to comment
Cevno
Because you're being deliberately obtuse. Do it for Sehwag last year and his average drops down to below 14. Link to comment
VRV Singh
Gambhir  Go away you irritating jumped up midget Link to comment
veer
We need one more solid batsman at the top instead of Gambo... I guess he is on notice as well. Link to comment
Cevno
The real question is whose goss do Rohit and Dinda have ? Jeez Rohit redefines how long a rope can be. And Dinda is just wholy mediocre. Link to comment
Trichromatic
Because you're being deliberately obtuse. Do it for Sehwag last year and his average drops down to below 14. Gambhir's average drops to 10 in last 7 matches. :winky: But I guess you'll take 10 over 14 Link to comment
Number
Also I think Dhoni's relations with Sehwag are really bad. Sehwag shows too much attitude on and off the field, gives badmouthing interviews etc. Whereas with Gambhir it's not that bad if not good. Dhoni's big successes in all 3 formats came from Gambhir's good performances. In the media, Dhoni usually says that Gambhir is a big match winner for us. So that is one of the factors Gambhir is likely to get longer rope. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
I am happy with the squad. Gambhir should be in squad but not play in team, can be reserve opener. All fit athletic squad apart from yuvraj and mishra Link to comment
King Tendulkar
mishra is only poor call i can see Its changing. No sehwag and no sachin. Need to do same with test team Link to comment

Number
Yuvi is a good fielder KT, when in good mood he fields like 2002. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Yuvi is a good fielder KT' date=' [b']when in good mood he fields like 2002. Yes WHEN!!!! Players need to realise they muct always be up for it or if not can face axe Sometime he is poor. He is fat now. Frankly if we were well run team, he would be axed and told to get fit and fire up all the time or no recall. I guarantese in 8 weeks you will see a slimmed down yuvi. Its those types of hard calls which benefit the team and though they dont realise it the player Link to comment
CG
It's just like saying Raina should stick to ODIs and shouldn't be included in tests. When we say that it doesn't mean that ODIs are very easy. Similarly Gambhir performing ONLY against SL and failing miserably against everyone else constantly means he shouldn't play against any other teams and not that SL is a very weak ODI team. Sure it's his not fault that we play SL so regularly, but that shouldn't be reason for him to be in team when he can't perform against anyone else at all. What -this is gambhir performance against teams in last 2 years.
