Vivek.S.123 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Here are my 3 Captains and Vice-Captains for each format: Tests Gambhir © Sehwag (VC) ODIs Dhoni © Gambhir (VC) T20s Kohli © Raina (VC)
Ultimate_Game Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Kohli should be the captain. I saw Raina captain a tri-series against Zim & SL and he looked clueless.
philcric Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I vote for Raina as the India captain for the post match presentations. Ravi Shastri: Over 600 runs were scored on the day, the match went to the wire, and in the end you have to say England were the worthy winners. Suresh Raina: Yeah the boys are working hard and we are looking forward to the match and hopefully do well. Ravi Shastri: Indian batsmen flashed and flashed hard. Was it hot out there or were they just trying to be naughty in front of this huge audience of 70,000 people? (Side Note: The maximum capacity of the stadium is about 50,000). Suresh Raina: Yeah the boys are working hard and we are looking forward to the match and hopefully do well. Ravi Shastri: Suresh, the match is already over and you've lost to England in a match that went to the wire on a day in which over 600 runs were ... Suresh Raina: Sorry Ravi, I gotta rush now, I remember that I left my phone with my nephew.
Jersey #10 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Why would Kohli make a good captain? I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with that idea. I think he'd make a terrible captain. Raina truely does deserve a chance ahead of Kohli.

He lead one of the best teams ever and they won 2 world cups in a row under him. He is also a cricketing legend. Kohli can also have the same impact.

Vivek.S.123 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 If arrogance is the point' date=' I think Harbhajan Singh will be the best captain, no ?[/quote'] He led his IPL team better than Dhoni. :mi:

Just because he has a faul mouth? plus not all aggressive people make good leaders.

Desi Cartman Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Why not Jumping jack and big hearted Dinda .. no amount of pressure can affect his performance as he sux anyway
Cricketics Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I think personally Raina shouldn't be involved with captaincy. He comes later down the order where he has done really well but once he starts failing, people will put lot of pressure on him. That pressure plus the captaincy pressure will lead him no where. Let him enjoy the batting. He is doing wonders for us in ODI'S. For a person batting consistently at the order he is, he's been excellent for us.
neoripper2 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Raina has been part of the team since 2006. He is now 26. Its time for him to step up and not just put in the odd flashy cameo. I actually viewed the comments a couple of weeks ago where he said that Kirsten always saw him as an opener as a positive. More responsibility might be a good thing for him. Didnt he captain the team in Zimbabwe?
vamos_rafa Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 People don;t understand the differences b/w aggression and premature ejaculation. Having a cry baby on the field makes them feel as if the loss hurts. This T20 generation
rkt.india Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Not to that extent. Have u watched Gambhir and kohli talking between overs. Gambo-Bc Acha dal raha tha Kohli-Mc ko agle over me dekh longa. Most Dilliwallas talk like that. MC, BC equals to Shree, Shreeman, Shreemati here.
