Rohit S. Ambani Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 According to CricInfo India will play just 4 Tests in 2013, against Australia only. and SA will play only 5 tests, 2 vs NZ, 3 vs PAK. Whereas England and Australia will play , 14 test Matches.
saneindian Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Don't we play SA in Nov-Dec 2013 in SA? 3 tests on that one as per FTP with 7 ODIs / 2T20s in Jan 2014. BCCI will surely slot in a series in August like they did vs NZ last year. And perhaps break that 7 ODI 3 T20s tour in October '13 into a 2 tests, 3 ODIs series.

Cevno Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Pakistan has offered to play their home series in India. Think it will depend on diplomatic situation, but think a series with Pakistan will be worked out if the government gives the go ahead. And SA tests will begin in 2013 too.

And then Probably we'll get 3 against Srilanka somewhere and also a series against Pak is to be worked out in August. Don't freaking know why Australia is coming over to play 7 pointless ODI's and Some T20's in october though. And why we are going to West Indies in June to play a tri series after the Champions trophy but no tests.

All this to ensure IPL isn't delayed and starts in 1st week of April as planned. As for that tri series in WI, thats BCCI way of rewarding WI and SL for cancelling their scheduled series in April- May for the IPL. IIRC we also play a tri series in SL after that tri series in WI, again BCCI's reward for being loyal.

Not 2014/15 brother. And those series you mentioned are in FTP anyway. Can't be avoided now. They are organizing only ODI series outside FTP, but not Tests in the available spaces.

Don't think we are going to SL after WI Tri series too, but to Zimbabwe to play 3 ODI's. After that in August Pak series is scheduled and still up in the air.
