It looks like he has only played few first class matches
Number Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Had a great debut Ranji season then played really well in Zonal games (thrashed Shami Ahmed, Abu Nechim) then went to NZ for A tour and got exposed against short ball. Since then he hasn't done well in Ranji second season either and will probably lose his spot in A team too.

Giving tough competition to Sehwag. Bell averages 8 in UAE, 27 in India and 11 in WI. Worse FTB than Sehwag? Nasser Hussain averaged 18 in SL, 29 in WI and 27 in Pakistan. Inzamam averages 30 in Aus, 31 in SA and 25 in UAE. Easy to dig out so many legendary FTBs.

Sehwag before making his test debut scored 800, 1063 and 1057 runs in 3 consecutive FC seasons, all at a SR of around 70. Surya did well in one seasons and needs to continue doing it for at least a couple of seasons. Hopefully that will give his confidence back, is an aggressive player but needs to fine tune his shot selection a little more to become more consistent. Still has age on his side

And Sehwag doesn't have 100s in Aus, SA and Eng? All you did in your post was use averages to come to a conclusion, I did the same to show you people have done equally worse. But now I suddenly I find you getting defensive and bringing out selective innings into the discussion!

Spiderguy252 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Sehwag is a breathtaking player in the sub-continent, but I think I'll opt for a "good" player here, and an equally "good" player away as well. Sehwag's career stats are too disproportionate in this regard.
