Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 How the hell did Sehwag not deserve the job ahead of Gambhir ? Both should have rolled.
Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Gambhir has technical issues, theres no hope for him Vijay might do well imo Vijay doesn't have technical issues ? :giggle: And Sehwag has been a piece of crap for the past year or so.
ShanS Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 DINDA???? Seriously? This guy is a crap LOI bowler and gets selected for Test matches? WOW, Shami must be thinking what more does he need to do to get into the Test Side. Shami>>Dinda any day..
SLICKR392 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Not Gambhir. He has looked completely out of sorts against fast bowling over the last 3 years in tests and has showed no signs of improvement. How long can the team continue with him ? He has major technical issues against short pitch bowling, poking outside off stump, closing the face off the bat early on and getting lbw etc. which have to be rectified if he has any hope to do well in tests as an opener. I don't mind him being dropped but until we find a good solid opener and Gambhir shows no sign of a comeback we need to stick with Jaffer whose looking flawless in this season.
kubrickian Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Jaffer has looked a class above both Vijay and Dhawan easily. Jaffer should have been picked. But one problem is he is 35 already. How long can he continue ?
SLICKR392 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Jaffer should have been picked. But one problem is he is 35 already. How long can he continue ? As long as if find a good opener? I don't see us going anywhere with the likes of Dhawan or Vijay.
Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Jaffer should have been picked. But one problem is he is 35 already. How long can he continue ? For 2 years till Mukund/Chand/Reddy/Jiwanjot develop. Can you imagine Dhawan on SA wickets against Steyn ? He'll be LBW so easy.
Lord Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Vijay doesn't have technical issues ? :giggle: And Sehwag has been a piece of crap for the past year or so. GG looks too unsure and always pokes one.never confident Vijay atleast plays his shots Sehwag's ton in Ahmedabad might hv saved him I think
kubrickian Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 For 2 years till Mukund/Chand/Reddy/Jiwanjot develop. Can you imagine Dhawan on SA wickets against Steyn ? He'll be LBW so easy. Dhawan has a dodgy technique. He shouldnt be anywhere near test team.
Sidhoni Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Decent team though Shami should have replaced Dinda. Jiwanjot could have been tried as well.
kubrickian Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 The major disappointment has been pace bowling. Picking Dinda for tests shows selectors are idiots who have no idea what they are doing.
Needforspeed Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Dhawan has a dodgy technique. He shouldnt be anywhere near test team. +1. We saw in West Indies (2011 series), how out of place he looked. If Dhawan plays, he will pave the way for Gambhir's comeback.
wanted_desi Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Doesn't matter how flat pitch is, Dhawan and Vijay won't last against AUssies Seamers. Jaffer might make it after 2 test matches :)
Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 GG looks too unsure and always pokes one.never confident Vijay atleast plays his shots Sehwag's ton in Ahmedabad might hv saved him I think Gambhir was looking exactly same unsure in SA and making runs last tour battling and edging. Sehwag was looking confident but being Steyn's bunny. :giggle:
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Dhawan has a dodgy technique. He shouldnt be anywhere near test team. same was said about umesh in ICF before his debut now almost everyone believes he is our best
CG Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 same was said about umesh in ICF before his debut now almost everyone believes he is our best Who said it.:hysterical:
Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Vijay struggled everywhere because he pokes outside off and has poor footwork. People get distracted with his shot making ability just. Evenn on this Paata he got 5 reprieves to make runs. What the hell were selectors watching at the match ? Morons.
Cevno Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 +1. We saw in West Indies (2011 series)' date=' how out of place he looked. If Dhawan plays, he will pave the way for Gambhir's comeback.[/quote'] They'll bring Gambhir back and say we have no other options. :hysterical:
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Who said it.:hysterical: dont remember i read that during our australia tour when i found this forum many posters said that he should not be anywhere near the india A team dunno where these posters are hiding now
