The day SA get a decent WK batsman, ABDV will not be their keeper. Or probably if he becomes the test captain soon, then again he will not be the keeper. In ODIs he has already stopped keeping citing the triple workload of keeper-batsman-captain (after just 2-3 series) Prior isn't the English captain either, so yes Dhoni is the best keeper-batsman-captain right now :P

A sample of three Test matches to show someone is the best in anything is a straw man argument. The significant point here is that you are intelligent enough to understand that. Now, you have two options - [1] to accept your initial assertion was wrong, based on limited understanding and correct it OR [2] Continue to let your ego play over the argument and be a narcissist. Currently, I'm afraid you are choosing to do [2]. Many of us (including me) have done [1] (with a discussion with you itself, you may remember it very well). I don't think there's anything wrong to accept a reasonable line of argument rather than stick to a flawed statement.

Yeah his keeping was very very good Just cos he wasnt keeper from start does not makes him bad.. Infact prior was very bad at keeping when he came and has improved a lot since then Also i will rate abdv over dhoni anyday.. Half of byes he saved dhoni would not have even attempted to get near them:giggle:

He has played 11 matches as a WK, I don't know what you are on about him faring poorly as WK. He averages 55 vs Australia He averages 40 vs England He averages 59 vs New Zealand He averages 88 vs Pakistan

ABDV struggled like anything in Eng/SA and this was the first time he has come to grips with the dual role.
