Not allowed. GOI passed a rule disallowing POI playing for India few years ago I think
If I am not wrong, after that ruling from GoI, Prakash Amritraj was stopped from presenting India in Davis Cup. and yes, no to OP. We don't want to lose our privilege of ridiculing pommies for playing world XI.:winky:

He may well hate India, who knows. A lot of people of Asian origin do not necessarily like the country of their parents birth. I know a few British Indians who support England vs India quite passionately. It actually makes more sense than people who work the other way (of which I am one of course) as they feel more british than Indian...

Obviously there will be a minority which supports England and good luck to them. the matches india play in england always have big support in the limited overs atleast.

And I absolutely hate that. You must always remember your roots and respect that.

Huh? They are born in England and they support England. They are not asking you or me to support England. A support for the England cricket team does not equate to "disrespect" for their "roots" - whatever that means.

Yes. But there are also many other examples one simply hates their roots or basically refuses to recognize it.

++ market cricket in Punjab and you'll have fast bowlers I'm sure
or fix the domestic tournaments and funding incentives to encourage local teams to invest more money into finding talent throughout the country.

That's their personal choice. Why do we need to take a moral ground over it?

Of course. You can hate many people/things in life. But you cannot say that out to everybody. Although it's getting off- topic. But there are plenty of examples where one have shown hatred of their roots just to tell everybody of their love for their current country. That is not correct.
