CG Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday raided DMK leader's Chennai residences, media reports said. Reports said that the CBI conducted raids after DRI complaints regarding case involving alleged illegal import of foreign cars. One of the illegally imported cars is allegedly being used by Stalin's son, reports said. The CBI is currently searching Stalin's residences, reports said. A simple divorce in India means girl side filling for fake 498A dowry case ruining boy's and his family reputation, blatantly done nothing is left to your imagination. Be it property dispute, be it family affairs everything is settled with vendetta in India. Powerful people have courts in their service.

SP and BSP will give "outside" support.

I think BJP needs more time to campaign and project Modi as the PM and go into the elections. I won't be surprised if Congress takes the opportunity and forces BJP to go into elections under-prepared.

The moment DMK left, there was a CBI raid on Stalin - same can happen to Mayawati and Mulayam so there's now much chance of them leaving and BJP knows this so there's no point in having a no confidence motion. Also, Mamta Bannerjee jas already said that she will support the Govt on this issue. Nah. Congress wouldn't want to go for early elections because right now they are as unprepared as the BJP - both parties haven't even started the process of selection of candidates in most states. Also, Congress would need some time to bring out election related policies to capture votes (as it did last time).

Reason being given for CBI raid - violation of custom duty on some imported car. But that should be custom department's job, not CBI. Since when did CBI start conducting raids for custom duty violation? I have no sympathies for Stalin, but centre's action is highly suspicious. That's the reason they don't want to make CBI independent. I strongly disapprove of CBI action on DMK leader Stalin, says Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Wah, kya baat hai ji. yoda Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Chidambaram disapproves of CBI action cause it can send the wrong message. He is right, however is he saying the raid is justified but timing is wrong due to withdrawal of support or raid itself is wrong? In either case, it is the job of the ruling party to maintain integrity of organizations like the CBI and the Judiciary and not interfere in their actions. It is a bad and dangerous precedence.
