But we have done well overseas with far *****ier fast bowlers (Oz 04 - Agarkar, Nehra LOL) and not so good technical players. Heck Ganguly was awesome in SA 2006-07 without knowing how to play the short ball. And as for struggling away, you can't decide by just a few matches away. Test cricketers are MADE not BORN. The 8-0 was due to sucky players, not players who just sucked overseas (home bullies). All those players struggled against WI and NZ at home (two of the weaker sides).

For today I will be proud with joy about this triumph. Tomorrow I will shove it aside and hope for something better. Back in 2011, I experienced tough times just watching that England tour. It was enough to nearly destroy the joy of India lifting the World Cup. I still remember how smug the English were(rightfully so back then) and laughed behind our backs. I don't care what the scoreline is.. I want India to give England a hell of a fight next year when we tour them. It still pains me as a fan .. just to think about that wretched tour in 2011.

It'll require time. Heck we drew in SA 2010 with 3 batsmen. Others were useless. We have never been whitewashed in SA, even during the 90s when we had one pacer (Srinath) and one batsman (Tendulkar).
