Sidhoni Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Simple question. Talking about the recent home series of course.
deathmonger Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yup. Jadeja + This version of Ashwin we would have won.
NareshK Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yes, definitely. He was effective even on that Nagpur track where it was very difficult to get wickets. He would have been a handful on that Mumbai pitch with the pace at which he bowls and his accuracy.
skindia Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 no...he would have picked wicket of pietersen only.
saneindian Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Not sure how much of a difference he would have been when our batsmen looked clueless against Swann and Panesar.
Sidhoni Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 @OP jaddu played last match I guess.. Yeah he did.
BeautifulGame Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 We would have won the Mumbai test if we had Jadeja
deathmonger Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Not sure how much of a difference he would have been when our batsmen looked clueless against Swann and Panesar. True. Add Dhawan-Vijay in place of Sehwag-Gambhir and Jadeja in place of Harby and Rahane in place of Yuvi we would have won.
GautiMaan Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Didnt Gauti score a couple of fifties when everyone else was failing?
SLICKR392 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Didnt Gauti score a couple of fifties when everyone else was failing? Since Mumbai 2nd innings he was consistent but did not make it big but he did well when everyone failed.
deathmonger Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Didnt Gauti score a couple of fifties when everyone else was failing? True. He did make a bit of a "comeback" in the series with 3 50's. Still with his problems in tests over the past two years I would have had Vijay-Dhawan instead. Although instead of him, Sehwag should have been dropped for the Oz series.

SLICKR392 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Lets see if he can force his way to SA' date='but have to admit he did need a break.[/quote'] Need to play county along with Viru.
deathmonger Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Lets see if he can force his way to SA' date='but have to admit he did need a break.[/quote'] Not a question of forcing, he will anyway be on the flight to SA along with Dhawan-Vijay. Kind of like a dropped Viru went to Oz along with Jaffer-Karthik. Heck, he may even open with VJ instead of Dhawan due to his experience and good record in SA.

He should lead in the India A side in SA! The best move forward.

Maybe but still needs to perform in ODI's as the selectors seem to consider that as well when picking Test squads.
