They also need to drop Rayudu, who's been the other flop show so far. Better to have Maxwell in his place. At least he'd be more likely to hit the big ones even if he won't stick around for long. Ponting, Smith, Tare, and Maxwell have opened throughout various stages of the tournament. Of these four, Tare has been the team's best bet. If Sachin is back for the playoffs, the playing XI should be: Tare Sachin Karthik Sharma Pollard Maxwell Bhajji Johnson Kulkarni/ Rishi Dhawan Ojha Malinga if Dhaval cant make it then i prefer Nechim other Rishi. No point in playing Rishi as a sort of all arounder and having him bat that low. But agree about Tare. D Smith is just too slow. I have issues with Maxwell as well. I think he is another slogger. Tare Sachin KKD Rohit Pollard Rayadu Oram/Coulter Nile Bhajji Johnson Malinga Ojha Thats the team i will play based on some thoughts. Oram especially might be a good addition of somebody strong down the order. Maxwell and Smith for me are what we call "kohta sikka" in marathi or players of low substance who come off once in a while. Still a lot depends on the pitch. If its a flatbed then we can maybe include this sloggers.
