zakk Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dhoni was the sole reason for the defeat of MI yesterday. His innings was a replica of Miss Bah innings. that was not Dhoni but CSK's top order was reason for defeat :agree:
Debutant Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 that was not Dhoni but CSK's top order was reason for defeat :agree: Why was Dhoni hiding till the whole top order was out. He should have come up, consolidated and taken the team out of trouble rather than resting his ass. That what senior batsmen do. I am sure, had this been a flat wicket, he would have promoted himself and hit the winning runs. His fan boys would have praised him for the BRAVE decision of promoting himself in a pressure match like a final.

He can only be applauded for taking brave decisions.
Mariyam Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Congrats fellow MI fans :icflove: In normal circumstances, this win would mean a lot. A trashing of CSK in a final. In a season in which we defeated them 3 of 4 times. That's a lifetime of bragging rights. But if there ever was a pyrrhic victory, it is this. It is this. :((
zakk Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 :agree: Dhoni can never be blamed. He can only be applauded for taking brave decisions. so you want to say top order failed because of Dhoni :headshake: he is too brave to take any decision and he should be applauded for that :agree:
Detonator Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Congrats :mi: :nice: :hatsoff: to all the players for a wonderful performance except harbhajji :finger:

CSK Fan Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I know' date=' last man standing![/quote'] Easy to be last man standing when you come at no 7. Come at no 3 and be last man standing

Thats not even middle order, its tail. If he had come at 4-5, CSK would have won, others around him wouldnt have thrown their wickets away
Sidhoni Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Easy to be last man standing when you come at no 7. Come at no 3 and be last man standing He has done that in his ODI career as well. Are you doubting his ability? :giggle: Can blame dhoni for coming at no 7. Thats not even middle order' date=' its tail. If he had come at 4-5, CSK would have won, [b']others around him wouldnt have thrown their wickets away How do you know that? The way others batted, it wouldn't have mattered much. If Dhoni had got enough strike, he could have won the match even with Ash at the other end.

The way others batted, it wouldn't have mattered much. If Dhoni had got enough strike, he could have won the match even with Ash at the other end. But that's the thing, others would have batted better if Dhoni was in the middle, Bravo and Jadeja would not have thrown their wickets away, because with him there is hardly any pressure . No 7 in a t20 is a tail-enders position. BTW, he has also lost many T20 matches (we got kicked of many T20 WCs) by leaving things till too late, too. if you praise him for his strategies, blame him when his strategies fail too
Debutant Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 so you want to say top order failed because of Dhoni :headshake: he is too brave to take any decision and he should be applauded for that :agree: We all saw his bravery yesterday. We already had glimpse of his bravery in the match when CSK folded for 71 odd in a league match against MI. Brave indeed

If he had come at 4-5, CSK would have won, [b']others around him wouldnt have thrown their wickets away Dhoni was not required for that. they should have kept their wickets by scoring run a ball :giggle:

I was the most angry person when I saw Bravo and Jaddu coming earlier than him. It happens at times, strategies can fail. He backed Jaddu and Bravo but it didn't come off. Please tell me about those "many" T20 WC matches he has lost due to leaving things late? There was one against NZ where Yuvi was playing his return match which wsn't part of WC. Others?
CSK Fan Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dhoni was not required for that. they should have kept their wickets by scoring run a ball :giggle: RRR was over 8, and Dhoni was not in the middle. Face it, coming at no 7, he was always going to run out of partners. Even in the past, when he succeeded, he has at least come at no 4-5

jalebi_bhai Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dhobi is a premium opportunist.....now I'm not saying he is a bad cricketer......I personally feel that he is currently our best ODI batsman......but at times he tends to act cowardly and promote people to use them as sacrificial lambs.....a top LOI batsman......but when the going gets tough in unfamiliar territory for Dhobi......he often tries to shield himself.....not very responsible or brave of him......
