Ultimate_Game Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Looks like all the usual suspects are getting fit in time for IPL. After Umesh and Gambhir it's Zak who's back... Royal Challengers Bangalore pace spearhead Zaheer Khan, who is set to play in the IPL after recovering from an injury, trained at the National Cricket Academy here under the watchful eyes of coach Ray Jennings. Zaheer bowled at the nets and according to his team-mate Jaydev Unadkat, looked good as he was getting the ball to swing both ways. My money's on Zak, Umesh and Sehwag to be injured in the IPL and miss Champions Trophy.
game_changerr Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 sehwag shouldnt be there in champions trophy bcoz his struggling 4 form,,,,,umesh needs to be shielded for test matches esp foreign tours,,,,so only fitness of zak is vital for champions trophy

harmuk Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Good to see Zak 'Biryani' Khan back for the IPL, as he will never be fit to play Test cricket again.
harmuk Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Zaheer bowled at the nets and according to his team-mate Jaydev Unadkat, looked good as he was getting the ball to swing both ways. Hmm.... What else is he going to say? Nice report.
rkt.india Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Fit or not, he was dropped from the team mid England series because of his poor form and he was fit at that time but only got injured during a Ranji trophy match. So if people think he was not selected for Aus series because of injury, they are wrong because he was fit for last 2 tests, but was not selected.
CoverDrive Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Saw his picture in Bangalore Mirror looks to have put on even more weight
saneindian Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 A comeback to the national side looks impossible unless his fitness magically improves. Even in the IPL, doubt he can last the entire tournament.
prinzo Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Ahmed and B Khumar is already a replacement for zaheer in the INDIA team. He needs to give young players a chance
