kubrickian Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Right from the first edition, pitches at this ground have sucked and have been slow, low wickets and have produced low scoring games. These are not fit for T20 cricket at all. T20 pitches should ideally have consistent pace and bounce and should be good for batting. 165-175 should be a par score. I wonder why BCCI hasnt pulled the curator over these kind of under prepared pitches.
asterix Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Add Chennai pitch too. In fact Chennai pitch is even worse than the Kolkata pitch...
BeautifulGame Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Add Chennai pitch too. In fact Chennai pitch is even worse than the Kolkata pitch... :lmao: Chennai produces flat pitches at the start of the tournament which dries as the progresses. Excellent for T20s.
vvvslaxman Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 spinners dominate here due to slow nature. Makes up for poor viewing.
asterix Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 eden pitch is the worst followed by chepauk :two_thumbs_up:
carnish Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Slow pitch means bad pitch ... Typical T20 fans. Do you people even like competitions ... If not go watch Hong Kong sixes ... You don't have to worry about pitches and you can see great Afridi style action on every ball. HUH ...Haters will be haters. Eden, Kotla and Chepauk are the best pitches in India.
kubrickian Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 If we produce batting pitches all the time' date=' how are our batsmen supposed to learn how to play on difficult tracks when they go abroad?[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: We're going to prepare for foreign tours by preparing slow, low tracks in IPL ? Now I've heard everything. :hysterical:
rajmarie Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 KKR didnt have any trouble beating DD. Lets see if DD will prepare the wickets to suite KKR team when they go there to play. Every team makes tracks to suit their team. KKR & CSK use slow tracks at home because they have better slow bowlers then the opposition.
rajmarie Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 When we tour countries like West Indies or if we ever go to UAE, they have slow, low turners. :finger: You forgetting SL which only prepare batsman paradise fit for boring draws when India goes there.
