Ram
*bump ! Irfan is well and truly back fellas. He is bowling well and quick. What the hell was Dhoni doing , standing upto the stumps , when Irfan touching 140 with nearly every ball ? Link to comment
Holysmoke
I noticed 87.4 Mph.... but I thought I might have read something wrong. Glad to see my eyesight is fine. Even happier to see Pathan bowling fast :D Link to comment

What the hell was Dhoni doing , standing upto the stumps , when Irfan touching 140 with nearly every ball ? For the same reason perhaps that Ian Chappell had christened Dennis Lillee FOT(Effing old tart) - challenge and put a blaze under his butt? Whatever be the reason it sure as hell worked. King
Usually the speed guns in Saffie is about 5 kms faster. I think there was a mention of this sometime in 2003 world cup or something. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
Here is hoping an inswinger of pathan uprooting afridi and younus khan's middle stump in finals Link to comment
Chandan
I just couldn't believe myself when I saw one of the Pathan's deliveries clock as 140.7!! Is it true guys?? Wasn't the same guy bowling at 127-128 just 3-4 matches back??? What happened?? And I saw one of RPS's bouncer clocked at 147.2 against Hayden. Is that true??? Link to comment
Bumper
140.7 is the cumulative speed of all deliveries Pathan bowled in the over. I do think the Saffie guns are juiced up a bit. (They showed 150 kph for many of our bowlers in WC 2003. None of them clocked that speed ever again elsewhere) Link to comment
fineleg
but he is bowling with short run up.. i don't think hez completlely backk.... wanna see the pathan with long run up swinging yardz to send the batsman to pavalion.. If he can do that - long run up, swing in - that'll be AWESOME! Link to comment
The Outsider
I don't think the speed guns are juiced up. All other bowlers are bowling their expected range. Link to comment
Chandan
I don't think the speed guns are juiced up. All other bowlers are bowling their expected range. Exactly. If if was faster by 5kmph, why wasn't Lee bowling at 150+ consistenly?? Why were the SA bowlers just in the range of 140-143 kmph?? And why wasn't Bhajji's pace over 100kmph everytime?? In fact it didn't go over 100 even once! How??? Broad, Flintoff, Anderson all were bowling at the same speed with which they'd bowled all summer. So just can't see how the speed guns were faster here! Link to comment
