A report in national daily The Indian Express has said the Central Burea of Investigation (CBI) status report in the coal scam was "vetted" by the Law Minister and officials of the Prime Minister's Office. The report says the CBI Director and others involved in preparing the coal scam report had been summoned by the Law Minister Ashwini Kumar and that the report was "toned" down. Questions have been raised about the Prime Minister's own knowledge about the entire coal scam probe report. The Supreme Court has asked the CBI Director to file an affidavit before the court stating clearly whether the report was shared with government executives as well. The CBI has said that the story is speculative and that it has not filed any affidavit in the SC. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj has tweeted accusing the government of influencing the CBI. "This is a very serious matter. This is the evidence of government's pressure on CBI to save the Prime Minister," she tweeted."
King Tendulkar Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 How dare you. Our instutuons are fantastic apparenlty according to many i.e 84 massacre of Sikhs. If they are declared innocent they must be innocent. Any evidence is hearsay. All innocent Jai Hind!!
saneindian Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 The CBI director who gave a clean chit to Tytler is now the governor of Nagaland. The present CBI director has also secured himself a plum post-retirement posting. Well done.
asterix Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 The CBI director who gave a clean chit to Tytler is now the governor of Nagaland. The present CBI director has also secured himself a plum post-retirement posting. Well done. :hatsoff:
King Tendulkar Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 So here we go. In 2 G scam JPC gives clean chit to govt:cantstop: JPC report headed by congress man:hysterical:
Sachin=GOD Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 some recent acts of the Govt: JPC gives a clean chit to PM, PC. Coal report vetted by Govt. Stalin's house is raided by CBI the day after DMK withdraws support. Bihar has been asking for special package for months but it only gets the package when JDU wants to snap ties with the BJP.
saneindian Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Last evening NDTV was quoting 'sources' to suggest the law Minister vetted the CBI coal report for 'grammatical' mistakes!! WTF Again, they were the first ones to report the clean chit to PM and PC by JPC. Burkha Dutt can do anything to defend the indefensible.
FischerTal Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 yeh to hona hi tha. until CBI isnt an independent agency, nothing will change. both parties to blame for this
King Tendulkar Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 In before sachinlara says "but there is no proof, no evidence." "These are just accusations, no proof, no proof, no proof. And anyone who says otherwise is sullying the INDIAN GOVT and is a paki!"
FischerTal Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 In before sachinlara says "but there is no proof, no evidence." "These are just accusations, no proof, no proof, no proof. And anyone who says otherwise is sullying the INDIAN GOVT and is a paki!" arguing with that dude is a waste of time. he doesnt even understand what the hell democracy is and preaches about thomas jefferson, the slaveowner
Crookbond Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 yeh to hona hi tha. until CBI isnt an independent agency' date= nothing will change. both parties to blame for this We had Arvind Kejriwal trying to say the same thing but alas he is not democratic!
Clarke Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 yeh to hona hi tha. until CBI isnt an independent agency' date=' nothing will change. both parties to blame for this[/quote'] Not just CBI, the primary law enforcement agencies i.e. the police departments need much more autonomy.
Raghav_12 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 the way CBI has been manipulated by this government is unprecedented.. sickening..
Raghav_12 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Not just CBI' date=' the primary law enforcement agencies i.e. the police departments need much more autonomy.[/quote'] when CBI is in this shape, talking about police departments is unrealistic.
asterix Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 The status report was suppose to be a confidential document between CBI and Supreme Court. Nobody else has bloody right to even know the content, let alone rectifying 'grammatical mistakes'...
Clarke Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 when CBI is in this shape' date=' talking about police departments is unrealistic.[/quote'] In the overall sense that might be true, the police depts though are under control of the state govts, correct ? Assuming that is true, can any state govt take a principled stand & grant greater autonomy wherein their netaji loses the ability to abuse their powers and for instance the lal batti culture is minimized/stopped ?
Crookbond Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Our police state is inherited "as is" from the License Raj.
